To be honest they’ve been doing this for a while with backwards compatibility so it’s continuation to make it forwards compatible as well. It’s a bummer they’re not following up with physical copies but it’s clear there’s been a lack of demand for Xbox games. Seems like they want to go the Steam route which I’m all for.
I’m honestly just gonna wait till it’s on GamePass in a year or so. Would love to play as a 9 hour ish Campaign with a lot of customization once the abandon the GaaS stuff.
Mass Effect was pretty great with this and really paved the way for games now. i still don’t know another set of trilogies where the game can be affected from the choices you made years before in an earlier game. I think they went so ambitious that it really tied up their hands with a lot of things for ME3.
I think next year I’ll finally get to this. Was hearing so much about the issues I decided to be in the wait and see until people started really recommending it.
I’m honestly just waiting for it to go on sale (<$25 cause I’m stingy and my backlog is huuuge) for Xbox. Looking at sales numbers it’ll probably be soon Z
Yeah it was pretty sad. They should either separate out the reveals from the awards. Or just make the event longer. I totally get why they’ll do reveals though. It makes the event more exciting and more eyes on the stream, but they should give the developers their due.

I actually let my Ally go to get the Legion Go. I loved it but the sticks were angled to the left and the SD card reader wasn’t working. It’s nice to see though that they’re continuously doing support and improvements.
lol fortunately for me my wife got me the Ally but I exchanged it for the Legion Go. It is quite a premium device. A used Steam Deck can be found for pretty cheap. And Best Buy open box can be found for under $500
This game is just so fucking good. A little slow in the beginning but once your powers open up it’s a blast. This is worth the price of admission on the Maze alone. Also if you’re trying to pick up AW2, this will definitely enhance it.
Pro tip. Upgrade launch damage, made the game a ton easier. There’s also Gameplay assistances if it’s feeling a bit too difficult. I used this for the Alan Wake DLC .
The handheld PC market has been booming. There’s so many cool products that have been coming out. Personally I’m sticking with more established companies like Steam, Asus, and Lenovo due to being able to get better support , but the creativity of these devices have been incredible to see.
My personal favorite has to be the GPD Win 4 Pro. Brings back the PSP nostalgia and it seems more pocketable than other ones. I’m buying the Lenovo Legion Go but if money was no factor I’d buy the GPD to take on the go.
Looks like the heat issues are still there. Not sure what more they can do besides reinventing the whole thing. But this is so small, I love what they tried to do with this. He’s right that the GPD4 makes more sense and is kind of the best of both worlds.
Really looking forward to this for my handheld coming. Hopefully the Z1E works well with this. I returned my Ally waiting for the next big handheld and realized how much it changed the way I game.
Looking forward to this once I’m done with Starfield next month (hopefully when the Legion Go is released). It looks like the best complement to playing a slower paced game.
I know, I was playing this through console streaming from my Ally and really wished it was available natively. Great grab and go game for a couple minutes.
I’m more annoyed they don’t just make the game Series X enhanced . They’ve become so greedy as a company. Even if they didn’t touch the visuals it would’ve been excellent
Oh wow Scalebound, I was so excited for that game. Wish he was able to finish that as he seemed to be very passionate towards it. I heard MS was extremely pissed with the development process as well.
I think regardless of timeline, Valve accomplished what they wanted which was higher adoption of PC gaming through handheld gaming. There’s been an explosion of PC handhelds in the market after their release and they’re the main storefront for it (even if it’s running windows). Their big picture mode worked extremely well with my Ally. Even though I initially bought the device as an extension for my Xbox with GamePass, I’ve found myself buying a bunch of games on Steam.
A simplified Legion Go looks like something we can probably expect the next device to be then. Most people have compared the Rog Ally power with the Z1 extreme as being similar to PS4/X1 .
What they could do is a true “docked” mode where it can connect to a GPU to have it output 4K. Highly doubt as the cost would become exorbitant.
Aww man it’s actually a bummer to hear so many people are disliking the game. This has been the first game in a while where I’ve gotten hooked. I love the RPG elements in the game and the story has been brilliant. I’ve enjoyed games recently like Ragnarok and Control but this is the first one where I’m excited to just get back and sucked into the world. The last Bethesda game I played was actually Fallout 3 over a decade ago. It makes sense as Mass Effect is my favorite franchise and this feels like an evolution of that. My perfect game would probably be Starfield with ME: Andromeda combat.

And honestly my biggest thing is pricing. I currently have GamePass so been grinding through a ton of games there. But I’ve been buying so many games on sale that are so much more expensive on the Switch for whatever reason.
I actually loved this movie and hope this game brings that same quality especially humor and animation wise. Looking at Outright’s pedigree does not have me confident about it though …

Started Starfield of course and have been really enjoying it. I love the RPG elements already and it’s been a long time since I really catered a character to my liking rather than just taking the default. It’s giving me the same awe I had when I first played Mass Effect over 15 years ago (though I’m not sure if anything can beat that experience especially when you go to the Citadel). Action is fun and I like the three different POVs you can pick. Only complaint is the HDR seems a bit off where things look a bit greyish especially in the opening period.
Outside of Starfield, I’ve been playing Limbo again seeing it on GamePass. Never finished it when I was playing it on Android so finally going to give a chance to it now.
Never did I think I would see the day where a game gets majority positive sentiments but it’s the mainstream editorials that has the controversial lower scoring reviews. Will be interesting as we see more and more that it’s not the company but the reviewer matters more. Makes sense as a corporation doesn’t decide whether you like a game but if you know a reviewers taste, you can tell whether a game is good or not knowing their previous biases.
Wow and that’s with it being released on Gamepass and PS+ I believe . Great to see such numbers for such a game where you can see the passion from the developers
Very excited for this. This was one of my favorite games on 360 when it came out. Just recently played the remastered and felt it was a bit repetitive. Hope they’re able to get some variation going with the combat for the sequel.
I still need to go through the DLC. Has anyone gone through them?
Still need to finish the Foundation DLC for Control! I really enjoyed the AWE dlc but wish I didn’t know Alan Wake 2 was being released before I played it. By the way what did you think of the Alan Wale dlc? The gameplay mechanics were getting a little tiresome.
I really enjoyed Control. Just finished it the main story and AWE dlc recently. Gotta go through the foundation one now.
I loved both! I think I enjoyed Alan Wake more when I was playing it back on the 360. But looking back now I think Control is definitely the better game.AW just holds a special place with me as It was so unique for its time.

I love how Diablo 4 had this month of adoration to absolute hate by the community. I actually never tried any Diablo style games (what exactly is the genre?) and wanted to give it a shot before all this negative press came out. Maybe will just run through it whenever it comes to GamePass
