It’s a Rougelite Citybuilder with a demo that lets you play the actual game (only limits your max level and what biomes you can play in). That’s all it took to get me in.
This is the weird version that’ll not have the portable content at all, right? That’s such a shame, this could have easily been the definitive version if they made a Persona 3 Portable Reload.
Persona 3 portable was the portable re-release. However they released it with a lot of extra content. Content that people believe completed the package and made the game even better. As a result, many fans will experience a jarring feeling as the content they like will be very obviously gone. Hard to understand their decision. Maybe they planned to make it DLC. Sneaky buggers.
I'm almost willing to bet they'll release a Golden/Royal version a year or two after this version that has the portable content in it, if they do anything with the portable content at all. They wouldn't do something so consumer friendly as release it as dlc, they'll make you rebuy the entire game instead.
It was entire alternate playthrough with a female main character, new characters to build social links with, and a lot of new insights into the other characters of the game. The characters you fight with have different relationships with the female MC than the male MC. The PSP version had both playthroughs on one disc, though they had to make some adjustments like turning it into more of a visual novel style than 3d environments for the "town" segments of the game.
This is where I feel modders could get a very decent final say.
There will definitely be enough material to TTS the dialogues that don’t exist in Relaod, and the text, sprites and models already exist spread between p3p, the rhythm game, etc.
I’d wager it’s pretty doable to mod the content into the game once it’s out.
I’m worried Lemmy has the same marketing teams in it that destroyed reddit.
I just saw a post yesterday trying to hype these sales that instead had honest opinions. Then the post gets deleted. I assume because we all weren’t swooning
Not sure if people are not bothered by that type of manipulation of these platforms or not but it bothers me so much to see legit opinions and views get crushed by PR teams.
Interesting opinion considering most posts are constantly bashing companies on this platform
Re: “This post is an ad”
All trailers are ads. Any article promoting a game is an ad. A movie trailer is an ad. The only difference is whether people are interested in the content or not. It’s not some grand conspiracy that many people (me included) look forward to the Steam sale so they can buy games they want and be on the lookout for sales. This is a gaming community so this is very relevant to be posted here. Don’t be overdramatic.
I think it’s interesting how other people play. I never plan out my road systems. Highways I have a rough idea, but I personally like the challenge of figuring out that I’ve run out of space and I need to fix it. It ends up feeling like a more realistic city to me, with grid systems meeting that were never meant to collide, weird bits of space, it all makes it feel authentic to me
In cities skylines 1 I started planning for monorail and rail transport systems. Only enough roads to interconnect neighborhood stations, then when you get enough population, tons of buses, then monorails, then trains and try to get rid of as many roads as possible.
To contrast that, I have tried to make the dirtiest, worst cities possible with only roads. Just fun to try different styles.
Definitely. I have it on steam and it’s an incredibly fun destruction sandbox. I haven’t played with the creative mode yet, but there are TONS of awesome mods on the workshop. It runs on lua so the architecture is similar to GMod.
Nintendo, “Sure that sounds like a great idea … For me to poop on!”
The original artist and everyone who’s viewed the video receives a cease and desist the following morning. They are all instructed to carefully and completely remove any Zelda related material from their minds or otherwise be charged with thought piracy.
That is just unbelievable; I’m not even a fan of the Zelda games (aesthetically, yes, but I can’t get into the gameplay), but matching this with Ghibli is a lovely idea.
I’m happy to see that Frost also moved to Second Wind and even happier that they already created new content.
The video really is prescient. I wonder if it’s just pure coincidence. Not too unlikely as this topic is an important one but still… Apart from Frost’s commentary the visual material seemed especially dull as if the editor really couldn’t be bothered but maybe it’s just my lack of appetite for this genre of games that is showing.
Yeah, I’ve seen a few people wondering why the visuals were a bit dull and wondering if was the remains of The Escapist finishing them up to push them out and being lazy about it.
But it does by all accounts look like this was edited before the implosion, as they had literally zero employees left of the video team, including everyone who did video editing. The videos were all finished and uploaded to YouTube, just awaiting someone click the “publish” button.
