That looks fun…once you’ve hit 70th level after 20 hours really terrible grinding.

nyctre,

What makes the first 70 levels not fun for you?

Bakkoda,

In typical poe fashion they are unrewarding and slow. They added dodge roll to a game and now I’m supposed to use it non stop. White mobs need to be ground down. And i get it, they wanted to slow shit down. They def did.

nyctre,

Ah, I see. Fait enough. Personally I enjoyed it. No point in making a different game just to have better graphics. PoE 1 is still there for those that don’t like the new one… and I’m looking forward to alternating between the 2, if they manage to find the pace which they promised.

Bakkoda,

I loved all the improvements to the gem system. Low lvl crafting felt good and the improvements, while quite small, we’re noticeable. It’s just a really bad pace for me. I never felt the dps ramp up at all. It never felt like i was killing anything faster or more efficiently and the “combos” while cool still involved just more clicking. I never felt like the game play improved. Just mechanics and graphics and polish.

I’m not a Souls person and i hated the extra hard mode they added to PoE1 so maybe the game just isn’t for me.

It’s just so slow. The drop rate sucks, enemy’s have too much health by 30-40%. The bosses aren’t rewarding. Etc…

The whole game is grind for that first divine so you can buy a decent piece of gear.

I like the engine, I hate the tuning.

Honestly looks like it’d make a really cool VR game

In the early days of this generation of VR, there used to be a Dolphin emulator VR-enabled version that could run the Metroid Prime games in VR. It was both great and pretty barf-y, and was discontinued afer some scene drama.

Not sure where VR for emulators is at right now.

Can’t be delayed if there is no release date (other than possible 2025). Luckily Nintendo does delay their games when needed.

The art is gorgeous in this game.

Love the 2.5D isometric view as well.

Might have to check this out when it gets released.

Just in time for the cozy game addiction I didn’t know I had

MudMan, do games w Nintendo Announce Virtual Game Cards (Digital Game Sharing)

So I'm torn on this until I can test it.

Right now you can absolutely share digital games. You do need to have your account logged in on both machines and only the one where your "main" account sits can play the games offline.

This seems both easier and harder? There are now arbitrary time limits and per-game activations, which seems like a massive mess. Before the only limit was that a game couldn't be played in two places at once and that secondary consoles needed to stay online.

But conversely, the "main account" thing was annoying for a portable, so if you shared with someone that carried their console around outside the house it kinda required giving THEM the main account with all the games and keeping the secondary for yourself. This is a very parent-like situation to be in. So... that's better?

The worry here is that this sure seems like setting the groundwork to give up on physical media altogether without messing with the way people use Nintendo portables, and that is a bad thing overall. Given Nintendo's dumb, litigious approach towards these things they're getting no benefit of the doubt from me in this area.

Looks more impressive with its features than I thought from previous previews, but man they really can’t hide it chugging with the frame rate for these open areas in motion…

The art looks so damn good. Can’t wait to play this.

I don’t think you can share with friends? Only if you have a Family account and all the Switches are signed into the same Family.

Looking alright. It’s a Pokémon game so I know what I’m getting into but it looks fun.
