People spend $60+ to go to overpriced movie theaters to eat some food and watch a movie ONCE with a friend or family for about 2 hours, only to no longer have access to it immediately afterwards.
Nobody cares.
People spend $60+ to play a game for potentially tens or hundreds of hours and there’s a chance they might not have access to it years down the road when they likely have forgotten about it anyway.
To be fair, a lot of movie theaters ban bringing in outside food. At least in my experience. I agree with just not eating though. It would certainly be healthier to decouple moviegoing from snacking.
Might be a UK thing. Here in the US I don’t think I’ve ever been to a theater that allowed any outside food or drink. I doubt it’s because of safety, I’m pretty sure it’s because it would cut into their profits from concession stand sales.
I think it’s interesting that Microsoft is leaning into Windows on Xbox devices. It lends credibility to the rumor that the next Xbox console will run Steam natively.
It’s probably a timed exclusive, Nioh 1 and 2 are multiplatform games. I’m just hoping they have better enemy variety, the Nioh games are so close to being fantastic but I didn’t finish either of them because they got repetitive.
Good video! Slightly annoying that it’s one of those “group channels” with multiple creators uploading. I’d like to subscribe to this guy but then I’ll get a bunch of other random videos I don’t care for :(
The only AAA games I’m looking at are ones released 5+ years in the past. Grabbed a lot more indies closer to launch. So glad Timberborn and shapez 2 made it here.
I’m intrigued but I’m super intimidated by the rhythm game sections you show. I don’t want to go full Nigel but can you tell me something that will make me not have a panic attack looking at the huge filled fret board in the trailer?
As much as I’d love a sale, the game is really quite tough. My partner was/is streaming it on twitch, she’s a moderately good gamer and she spent probably an hour on one of the mid stage duets.
I do have “Less Hard” as a difficulty setting that drops the notes you saw in the trailer, probably in half. And if people really want an “Even Less Hard” mode, I can add that in probably a day or two.
A cross platform option would be Power ISO. It has an option for the bin/cue format CD games are in and I’ve used it on Linux. It can also do ISO for DVD games
I tried power ISO earlier though it came up with an error when ripping the game. I also tried k3b at the start which works for ps2 games but it was unable to rip ps1 games.
