This was in 2020 they were thinking this, and it doesn’t seem like Nintendo was interested at all.
Microsoft offered to buy them back in 2000 or something, and got laughed at. Nintendo is not looking to be bought out. Nintendo does things its way and stays in its lane.
I honestly don't have the faintest belief that Nintendo would ever take the deal. Sure they don't diversify their platforms, but they also have the best cut from their platform.
Sorry, I have an ad blocker on my phone so I genuinely have no idea if there are ads on a site or how bad they are anymore on mobile. Try flipping to reader view to see it without ads?
As far as I’m concerned, all ads are aggressive. I don’t want to see any ads, period. Using an adblocker is a norm. It’s not only a matter of civilized online experience but also privacy and security (latest example). Of course you are not required to use one, but don’t go online complaining you see ads.
If you don’t have an ad blocker installed though, seriously, I can’t recommend getting one enough. It’s legit like night and day how different it is. There are occasional inconveniences, but it is overall so, so much better for browsing QoL.
Holy monopoly if that happened. Also imagine the damage to Japanese culture if one of their treasured companies was owned by a company in another country.
The gaming world’s response to MS buying Nintendo would make the whole Unity debacle look like a mild inconvenience in comparison… and that’s what I predict for the US, not to mention how Japan would respond to this.
Also, Firefox supports ublock Origin on Android (no clue about iThings, but probably everything is reskinned safari in apple land).
Pi-hole is also an option and while it isn’t perfect, it can block many ads at the network/dns level for devices that can’t support adblockers. prepares shotgun while eyeing new smart tv suspiciously
Microsoft will buy my teapottery if anti-trust regulations don’t keep them in check. And, in today’s climate, I don’t believe for a moment that anybody will make a reasonable attempt to do so.
For all we know “space” is the same map for each planet and only a few assets get swapped depending on orbit. Maybe this was a cheeky way to make their ancient engine run all these new features without crashing.
My best guess is that it's a debris effect from your ship taking damage, and it's supposed to fly away and expire, but somehow got stuck instead of disappearing, so now it's an "effect" on your character that doesn't know its supposed to have timed out already.
Other Bethesda games, especially Skyrim, had bugs like this of status effects that would get stuck on your character longer than they were supposed to and you'd only realize hours later when your character has some weird blue fog following them
I guess I’m gonna have to actually check. I always play entirely in 1st person so I wouldn’t have noticed unless it was always in my windshield or something.
