Renacles,

Bungie can fuck everything up without Bobby’s help tbh.

Renacles,

Probably Remnant 2 although Hi-Fi Rush is close behind.

Renacles,

Good to see Remnant doing so well, it’s by far one of the best games this year.

Renacles,

Kong and TWD not being on the list kind of shows the problem with Metacritic overall, a lot of people have reviewed those games but there is no numerical score so it’s not here.

Renacles, (edited )

I haven’t seen Splatoon being recommended here, it’s a ton of fun and has no microtransactions. You can but your kid a Switch for cheap nowadays.

Renacles,

Can you elaborate a bit? I played Splatoon 2 until Nintendo started charging for the online but, as far as I know, Splatoon 3 only has a free battlepass.

Am I missing anything?

Renacles,

I think I understand what you mean, I only played Splatoon 2 so I don’t have much to add, I don’t think there is much of a population left sadly.

Renacles,

TLoU already had a multiplayer mode and it was great, they just had to do the same thing.

Renacles,

Indie literally means independent.

Renacles,

I can see that but I’d argue most people agree that being funded by Nexon is neither independent nor indie.

Renacles,

What freedom? You can’t even choose how your character speaks when there are usually 2 options and they both sound the same.

Renacles,

I think discussion around it just became toxic, you can’t really say anything about Starfield without a bunch of people hijacking the conversation to talk about how much they hate it.

Renacles,

I’m not sure how, you got lucky.

Lemmy was filled with posts linking to clickbait articles from PcGamer bashing the game.

YouTube just flooded my feed with videos about how Starfield was the worst game ever made, modern gaming was dying or something of the sort after watching a couple positive reviews.

Even in comment sections, whenever I mentioned some nitpic I had about the game, I’d get answers bashing the game as if I had said it was terrible.

It was pretty much everywhere for a month and a half to the point I just decided to stop trying to find discussions on it.

Renacles,

At this point we don’t even need them, we have indie devs making games like Casette Beasts that are better than pokemon ever was.

Renacles,

They are still doing that?

Renacles,

No shit, they’ve alienated everyone interested in the first place.

Renacles,

I hope this means we can get a sequel for Metal Gear Rising, Platinum games is still doing the same kind of game after all.

Renacles,
  • Starfield
  • Baldurs Gate 3
  • Remnant 2
  • Hi-Fi Rush
  • Street Fighter 6
  • Lies of P
  • Alan Wake 2
  • Laika: Aged through Blood

The list just keeps going, it’s been an insane year so far.

Space sim Squadron 42 is "feature-complete" and gunning for Starfield's lunch with massive new video (www.rockpapershotgun.com) angielski

Squadron 42 is the single player campaign of Star Citizen, that is supposed to launch as a separate game. It's basically a small portion of Star Citizen, but with a story and ending. I'm still not confident; waited too long for that.

Renacles,

I can’t believe Shadow of the Tomb Raider was that expensive, it’s such a forgettable game.

Renacles,

Game engines are basically like a set of tools, they don’t fit every single case.

Renacles,

Exactly, engines can be as good as they get and still be the wrong fit for a game.

Creation gets a lot of criticism but it’s the whole reason why Bethesda games have that unique feel to them and are as moddable as they are.

Renacles,

Nier: Automata, Guilty Gear and Skyrim have top tier soundtracks.

There are a few games with killer soundtracks that are overlooked, RuneScape and Pumpkin Jack come to mind.

Renacles,

Fallout 76 is a lot better than what it was at launch but it’s still nowhere near close to Starfield. It’s a weird mesh of ideas that don’t really fit together but are still enjoyable separately.

Renacles,

It’s really good but the Bethesda hate train is still going strong. It’s definitely not for everyone though, it’s not a space sim by any means.

Renacles,

I got the Outriders dlc on sale, had forgotten how fun the game is.

Renacles,

Try setting a budget and looking for the GPU that fits within it, everything else more or less builds itself from there as you check the recommended CPU pairings and requirements they have on your other components.

Renacles,

The problem with PC is always going to be the amount of possible hardware variations, it’s difficult to make sure the game is well optimized for all of them.

It also doesn’t help that some people don’t understand that they need a good CPU as well as a good GPU and end up with a massive bottleneck.

Renacles,

An Anomaly storm is about to vaporize me or turn me into a god. Odds aren’t looking great.

Renacles,

Are the missions long at least or is it something like 6 hours total?

Renacles,

And they’ll complain even if they get exactly what they wanted.

Renacles,

How about we stop posting every clickbait article we find? This literally says nothing.

Renacles,

I really do hope they get rid of Bobby.

Renacles,

The only conflicting factions I can think of are the Crimson Fleet and UC Navy, but even then you aren’t going around telling everyone you are a pirate.

Which ones do you mean exactly?

Renacles,

They’ve been doing pretty much everything wrong except Unreal and that one time they got lucky with a failed-game-turned-BR-giant.

Imagine having 2 money printing machines and still being unable to come out with anything good.

Renacles,

They cancelled a bunch of games like Paragon and Unreal tournament to feed the Fortnite machine, abandoned the main Fortnite mode they had already sold and then started funneling money at the epic store.

The epic store at this point has been such a huge loss, exclusivity deals alone are worth millions and not even those managed to get them a user base.

A company with Fortnite’s and Unreal’s income should not be struggling to make a profit.

Renacles,

More like 1 and a half, the current generation is 3 years old.

Renacles,

I like it so far, planetary exploration and the ship are the biggest letdowns.

I get the feeling that it would be a much better game if they just focused on what they are known for being good at, interesting maps and immersive worlds.

Renacles,

Kind of, I don’t mind the surface being procedurally generated but the landmarks themselves are empty.

Finding a dungeon in Skyrim means a unique layout, rewards and maybe a quest. In Starfield landmarks can’t be unique because they need to populated too many planets but they are also empty, there is never anything worth grabbing or finding inside.

Renacles,

My experience is kinda the exact opposite, I hate how repetitive the planets are and stopped exploring them besides setting up resource collectors.

What I love about the game is the questing and ship building aspects, there is so much depth to what you can do with your ship that it’s kind of ridiculous that it’s such a small part of the game otherwise.

Renacles,

Guys, this is literally just a tech demo made in Unreal, it’s not news.

Renacles,

If this is such a big issue then Bethesda should make it a top priority to fix it, it does sound like a complicated issue though.

Renacles,

I’ve always found it weird that Xbox and Steam have nothing for completing a game.

Renacles,

Totally, Starfield pretty much pissed off 3 different groups at once.

You have anti-woke people losing their minds over pronouns in the character creator.

Playstation fanboys since the game is not on PS5.

The usual Bethesda haters that have been saying Skyrim sucks for over 10 years now.

This was going to happen whether Starfield was a masterpiece or complete garbage.

Renacles,

I’ve heard the game is bottlenecked by the CPU. What do you have?

Renacles,

A lot of people seem to love it and reviews are excellent, if that is subpar then we are getting some damn good games lately.

Consumer Nintendo Switch 2 rumored to have more RAM than the Xbox Series S (www.notebookcheck.net) angielski

A new Nintendo Switch 2 rumor has surfaced claiming that the next-generation hybrid console could actually arrive with more memory than a powerful rival like the Microsoft Xbox Series S. The same source has also offered an update in regard to the Switch 2’s potential DLSS support and ray-tracing capabilities.

Renacles,

It really should, the Series S is already looking dead and we are only at the beginning of the console lifecycle.
