Elden ring

Louisoix,

Except there is so much more in Elden Ring!

Wild_Mastic,

Yeah of course, but you can easily project almost all the original map in this one with minor differences.

moody,

Yeah, Elden Ring has multiple swamps, some of which are poisonous.

fracture, do gaming w Recommend me your favorite linear games!

lots of great suggestions in this thread, just wanted to shoutout this little indie i played and had a delightful time with: Flynn, Son of Crimson

it’s a little 2d adventure game with pretty linear progression, although there will probably be some backtracking if you want to 100%. but it’s level based and not open world at all. the movement and combat both feel pretty good, the story is very fluffy and feel good, and you have a giant dog as a pet, what more could you want?

it’s probably like a 15-20 hour game in total, if that. a great time if you want something short, fun, and uncomplicated

Trying to finish up Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirt of Justice. I think I’m on the last case, so I can move on to the Ace Attorney: Investigations spin-offs after this. I’ve played all of these in the past on DS/3DS (except AA:I2), but that was years ago so some of these I don’t remember the cases and stories. Either way, I’m enjoying it. I don’t particularly love Visual Novels, but these kinds I do like.

Picked up Metaphor: ReFantazio over the weekend. Only a few hours in, but it’s definitely got my attention. Cool to play a brand new JRPG IP. Definitely looking forward to getting deeper into it. I like that it uses the traditional JRPG turn-based battle system. I don’t mind active battle systems (a la FFXV and FFXVI), but I’m definitely a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to JRPGs. Plus I’m often just bad at active battle, ha.

Friends also goaded me into getting the new Factorio: Space Age DLC. Even though I’ve had the base game for years, I don’t really play Factorio, preferring Satisfactory instead when I want to play Factory Sims, but I wanted to play with friends. Plus it’s a good chance for me to finally learn how to play this game and play efficiently.

IFWiki is quite a good source, as well.

Does Shadow of the Colossus count? I didn’t get very far in the game but I did enjoy the parts I did play of The Last Guardian.

Z tego co wiem, najpierw musisz mieć zainstalowanego windowsa. Może da się to jakoś ominąć, ale to na pewno jakaś czarna magia. Wpisz w wyszukiwarkę np. Windows 7 i Ubuntu dual boot, będzie dużo instrukcji. Ja po kilkunastu latach dałem sobie spokój z Linuxem, ale dual boot to rozsądne rozwiązanie.

It’s showing me two AMD GPUs currently but one of them is listed as a new product so it might not have been there when you last checked.

If you want to double down on the puzzle aspect, check out Toki Tori 2. It’s a metroidvania side scrolling puzzle game. The wild part of it is you basically only have 2 moves, but you have to figure out how to use those moves to solve puzzles in the environment to progress. There are no actual hard walls like in a regular metroidvania, it’s just your understanding of how you can manipulate and influence objects in the world that gates you from getting to new places.

Knitwear,

I’ll take a look, thanks

ClassifiedPancake, do gaming w What game do you wish you got into as a kid?

I played so many games back then I can’t really say I’ve missed too much. Maybe I should have looked more into games like Jagged Alliance or X-Com but I wasn’t into turn-based games back then. But I also didn’t care much about puzzle games as a kid and now I am and that’s ok. These days I don’t care about multiplayer games anymore, which I used to love.

StarCraft. I played it, I liked it but never really invested time to get better at the game. My friends were really good and they would include me by putting me on the opposite team so I can backstab later in the match 😅
