I’ve been playing Prey. Just finished replaying Dishonored a few weeks ago, which led to playing dishonored 2 and death of the outsider. So, I was feeling a stealth sim and decided that after several years of owning the game I should give it a shot. It’s been fun so far.
It’s interesting. It’s more of a linear adventure game that doesn’t really give you a ton of wiggle room but it’s got a pretty unique story that combines well with some gameplay mechanics. I also really liked the visuals.
I first played Cyberpunk after 1.3 came out so I never had that early bad experience so many did (I only ran into one major bug, blocking progression in one sidequest). It was also my first introduction to anything in the Cyberpunk setting so I didn’t know what to expect, but I quickly fell in love with it. Even without Phantom Liberty, I’m sure I still have a half dozen major sidequests on top of the nomad origin story that I haven’t done yet.
I’m pumped for this, especially after being a bit disappointed in Starfield. I’m ready for graphics that pop again, the amazing facial animations, the fluid combat, and more Cherami Leigh. Hell, I’m ready to hear the character creator music again, lol.
Yeah, I feel the same about the events. But there’s only 2 “pro” tracks (White Land and Port Town 2), and I think they’ve dropped the frequencies of the full Grand Prix now with the Miniprix (which also include White Land and Port Town 2 as their final race)… which means I still haven’t played on Silence (I tend to be a bit too aggressive and end up blowing up on the 3rd or 4th track on Grand Prix).
That’s still a total rotation of 6 tracks (I’m not counting Silence because it’s hard to get there), and most of the time you’re playing on only 2 of them.
I mean even without inventing new F-Zero content, there are other Mode-7-style F-Zero games (that nobody played, but still they exist). It wouldn’t ruin my nostalgia to play tracks from BS F-Zero GP2 or the GBA F-Zero games. But yeah, you can’t tell me splatting some tiles down for new tracks would be that hard… I’m sure this is a game where you could even procedurally generate the tracks pretty well and eliminate the “memorization” aspect. I’d love that as an “event mode”.
I haven’t played far cry 2 yet. I heard the realism kinda messes with the fun in a way, like the malaria and the guns breaking gets in the way of the objectives
Getting to the end of it and I’ve really loved it. The Eikon abilities have really flourished throughout the game starting as supplemental to combat to being a cornerstone of combat.
Other than that, the story has been great as well as the subplots. I can’t express how happy I am with this game after the disaster of Final Fantasy XV and the all of the FFVII stuff.
After more than thirty hours and hours of discussions with a friend who knows Pathfinder and stuff, I've finally beaten the first boss of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous!
My character finally created, I got through the intro cutscene thingle, threw a dart, saved, and am in bed waiting to become asleep 🤣
(The joke is that the character creation is so interesting, involved, and/or difficult that it counts as a boss fight just choosing a character class to start with 😅 Also yes it did actually according to Steam take me nearly forty hours to defeat said boss 😅)
Good Ness, I was going to express concern for you for spending that much time on character creation, but then I watched the Mortismal new player guide and…that looks overwhelming in a possibly good way.
