I completely binged a pokemon fan game last weekend (Radiant Topaz) and just couldn’t get myself to quit. Besides that, I decided to move my Pokemon Keishou (another fan game) save over to my laptop so I can play it at a much better speed than my desktop can handle.
I definitely recommend Keishou so far, and I don’t even have a single badge yet.
I just picked up some games from Humble Bundle that I’m going to play while waiting for Unicorn Overlord to release. I think I’ll start on Loop Hero first, but some of the other games in the bundle look interesting too.
I’m currently hooked on Balatro like everyone else not in this thread. Took a long time to figure out the strategy (a two-and-a-half hour video helped a lot) before I won my first game (red deck). Won my second game (blue deck) on the next try. Next game (yellow deck), bombed out in ante 7, so I got close.
Geometry Survivor is pretty good but kinda simple. I’ll play for the trophies (survive 20 minutes) but will probably stop after that. I’m up to 10 minutes on the first sitting.
Working my way through NG+ on Nobody Saves the World. It almost feels easier so far but I’m only a few dungeons in. I guess the challenge will be in some of the later dungeons since I apparently have to clear them all to get to the final boss.
Dave the Dive was a blast. Definitely has that ocean community vibe of everyone supporting each other and contributing in their own unique way. Super laid back and just relaxing, even though there’s plenty of things to do.
I've been playing more Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor. Last week I said I found all the characters to be pretty weak and would probably not play it for much longer, but apparently I was missing some very crucial information. There are a bunch of weapons for you to unlock, but I found most of them to be kinda bad. However, you need to upgrade them to level 12 in one run, afterward you'll unlock the ability to overclock them, which can drastically increase their power. In my opinion, this process is far too tedious, and I'm not a fan, but at least it helps with the difficulty somewhat. For now, I'll just keep unlocking stuff, slowly progressing through the game.
Then, Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin. I found a build, that I replicated, but in hindsight I might as well just used the Extra Mode for infinite invulnerability. It's all about one or two shotting most enemies, so they can't even fight back, although bosses require a bunch of tries sometimes. I'm now in the second DLC, but I'll probably look for some other build, so I'll actually play the game.
I wanted to give Last Epoch a try after the 1.0 release, but then I decided to upgrade my PC, so I've been dealing with that the last few days. Installing everything again, settings things up, etc. Since I also like to tune everything a bit, I've also spent some time benchmarking and stress testing, but I definitely need to do some longer tests (12-24 hours), to make sure everything is stable.
Nobody really knows how big it’ll be. They said the new area would be aroumd the size of Limgrave but a lot more dense, I’d wait until reviews if you’re worried about price.
I'm playing Golden Sun for the first time and it's been a lot of fun so far. It feels very weird that an RPG was made using what I recognize as the Mario Golf engine.
I love emulation. Been using it since NESticle in the late 90s. By far the best thing about it is save states. Being able to stop playing whenever you want and resume your progress was a revelation!
It’s only $40 in the US which is what I expected it to be.
If that translates to $61 bucks in CAD: How much is the base game? Because I wouldn’t expect it to be the same $60 base price of a AAA game like it is in USD.
Edit: Just looked on SteamDB, the price of the base game in Canada is $80. Which appears to be typical for anything that’s $60 here in the states.
