Besides the weird portals, the pits and the train, looks mostly like the same game with a visual upgrade. I hope it's still as easy to parse. I'll get it anyways; I played the first one's content into it's post-release content patch before the complexity overwhelmed me.
It’s a competitive game. You have to be able to recognize features as fast as possible and a vibrant color scheme can help with that. And I just like seeing things without turning max brightness and going in the basement. There is no need to set some mood here with a dark gothic color palette
In a competitive RTS game where there can be multitude of different units in the hundreds you need to be able to tell the difference between. Else its just a messy blob that you attack move into and theres no skill or strategy, just a spray and pray. Visual clarity is extremely important otherwise the game feels bad to play and the competitive scene will die instantly cause no spectator can understand whats going on.
Exactly. Visual clarity is not just for the players, which can get used to anything after thousands of hours of play, but for spectators as well which will not have the same dedication.
Huh, I expected Sekiro but the combat system seems very similar to Nioh. The three stances, immobilizing spells, and transformation spells reminds me a lot of that game.
I’m a bit concerned about the combat. Looks like they’re going for more spectacle over substance. He’s doing all the cool moves, but the enemies barely react from any of them. It doesn’t feel like every hit matters.
Due to being a Chinese learner, I have been playing a lot of Chinese developed games over the last few years. Gujian 3, in particular, makes me less sceptical about Black Myth than others are as Gujian 3 was so close to being a genuinely solid game. I just really hope they don’t skimp on the translation.
