Everyone should go check out The Alters, it is a pretty weird game but a lot of fun with a great story and atmosphere. It’s a space survival, resource/building, race against incoming death game.
Developing a game and experiencing a game are 2 very different things. Having developed games in the past, things can be similar on the surface but everything about how it was made can be completely opposite. At one point we had free reign to work on whatever, and then it changed to daily focuses. That’s a huge change in the experience of developing and completely opposite of the game before.
Drag doesn’t like the random out of context quotes that interrupt the article with “spoilers”. Drag is already watching, drag doesn’t need to be convinced with a trailer! It’s as bad as watching Columbo.
Tactics is getting more of a remaster than a remake. It’s also missing a bunch of content that was added in the PSP version. Honestly I don’t think it will sell terribly well.
What is he trying to say? How can something be weird and unique but also consumed by millions of people as a popular product?
If he thinks riding a dragon in modern Tokyo to fight a big naked statue is weird and unique, he’s probably sad that the world has moved on from holding up sporks and going “lol random XD!”
The markets can’t sell Weird™ to the masses. Now there’s no “weird” people making super high budget art. Terrible!
