I knew I had heard of this game, but I couldn't remember its premise. For anyone else like me:
THE LONG DARK is a thoughtful, exploration-survival experience that challenges solo players to think for themselves as they explore an expansive frozen wilderness in the aftermath of a geomagnetic disaster. There are no zombies -- only you, the cold, and all the threats Mother Nature can muster.
Damn this sucks. This game was pretty decent in the beginning. I had fun leveling couple different weapons. I bailed when they reworked the progression system to be more confusing and less rewarding. I’ve been meaning to check it out for nostalgia sake even though recent rework got a horrific reviews and now I don’t even have to bother. RIP
What would be a good method to minimize gaming addiction in kids?
I agree that time limits aren’t ideal, but is there a better solution besides vetting every single piece of media a child wants to consume? I grew up with both, and it just taught me to be sneaky, which then ended up with me exposing myself to some truly awful stuff on the internet
I picked up GTA 4 , I was going to get rdr2 cyberpunk , hogwarts and sifu if they had hit the right price but I’ll leave it for a future sale. I picked up the mass effect trilogy earlier this year for 9.99 now its cheaper. I also picked up a humble spaced out bundle too recently so I have tons to keep me busy.
People need to remember that news about how Steam has like 300 employees. They do a ton with a small crew, and they stay down to earth. Coming from all sorts of console gaming and the shittyness of that, It’ll be a long time before I criticize Steam.
Did a quick search to remind myself. 300 for Valve. Only like 80 are dedicated solely to Steam.
I understand what you’re saying but we’re talking about a multi billion dollar company. At this point there is no excuse you can give for not fixing simple and easily identifiable issues with user experience - especially since all of this has been criticised for years. As much as I appreciate some of the recent additions, fixing this mess should be priority number one.
While I personally wasn’t a fan of Dauntless, I respected it and I’m sad to see it go. I’m a huge Monster Hunter fan but understand the importance of competition and how it benefits gamers.
