Does anyone actually have a suggestion for a less intrusive alternative?
Do you realise how difficult and ineffective server-side anti-cheat can be?
Although it would be the only way to actually try and detect someone using a second machine for hacking/inputs.
All of this will become an increasingly uphill battle for the devs.
Write it in language that obfuscates code by default (Rust does that) and then it obfuscates again. Or do it the Valve way. Even though is very easy to crack their anticheat (the hacks and DLL injectors are basically for free both on Windows and Linux), they have other measures in place. E.g. Votekicking players, Overwatch and matchmaking against other hackers.
If security analysts have issues decompiling Rust malware, then it’s obvious that it obfuscates the code. All they could get was an ugly Assembly. You can try it yourself by downloading Ghidra/Cutter/any other compiler.

Good to know this as well, I’ll be downloading it on my Deck and grind away the coming month
From this date forward we will offer different discounts for Forza Horizon 4, like the one currently active on STEAM (at the time of publishing); we will also have a sale in the Xbox Store on 7/14. Please keep an eye out on our socials and different platforms to take advantage of future offers.
Also good to know incase you still want to get friends in on it
Can’t wait until they add the v rising battle royale as and additional game you need to buy and drop all future improvements for v rising just like they did for Battlerite.
Don’t know anything about this. I tried to play the first one recently and it was ok. I don’t think it aged well. I really wanted to play it when it came out but it murdered my PC. I’m sure I would have enjoyed it more back then.
Dope. I can’t wait to have meaningful generative content in a game I play. Will it be perfect? Nah probably not for another 10 years to be honest. But it’s a start. It’ll be nice to not have to rely on a greedy publisher to make a sequel to a beloved game series especially when they’re taking in billions a year from microtransactions. Bring on the human-serving AI
These aren’t obligated paid mods. Anyone can still do free mods that rely on Nexus for downloads and stuff.
If anything, this is like FDroid / Google Play Store with FOSS apps. You’ll find dozens of paid foss apps on the play store that are free on fdroid. The play store is for donations and convenience. Auto updates without modding your phone, centralized store, etc.
