Never played the gears games except for the last one a little because I had gamepass and a PC. It was ok, but it just felt like a room after room of bullet sponge enemies, which got old fast. It will be very weird playing gears on a ps5, probably a lot like when Sonic dropped on Nintendo for the first time.
It’s a weird game design. All of the enemies are like little mini bosses and they all have their own weak points you have to target to do any real damage, and unless you know that it just sort of feels like a shooter where the enemies have too much health. Off the top of my head I can’t even remember how good they are and actually broadcasting that information, it might very well be only in the tutorial or when you encounter a new type of enemy.
I loved the Outer Worlds! Can’t believe it’s been out for that long already. I am excited to see how they expand on the first. My only complaint about the first was it’s size. This one will probably be fully fleshed out more seeing how popular the first was.
I’ve got so many Like a Dragon games in my queue I don’t even know which to go for yet. I still didn’t finish Yakuza 6, bought Judgment 2, and now game pass has Isshin and MWEHN.
If you don’t finish Y6 (or at least watch the cutscenes on YouTube or read a story summary) then the setup for MWEHN won’t make sense. Judgment and Ishin are standalone spin-offs so they can be played at any point.
Very similar games, game dev tycoon is a little more in depth. This is more of a fast paced micromanaging sim like the other. I originally played it on Mobile and I highly recommend it tho I am biased.
I’ve played both games but by the time I got to game dev tycoon I couldn’t stick with it the way I could with game dev story. You can probably finish this game in 2 or 3 long sessions.
I’ll give Starfield a look, although I’m not usually a Bethesda guy.
Lies of P is where it’s at for me. I’ve been eyeing that one up for months and the fact that it’s day 1 on Gamepass is huge for me.
As for Solar Ash. I played Hyper Light Drifter over the Christmas period last year and fell in love with it. I’ve been waiting for Ash to go on sale on the PS5, but I guess my waiting is over eh?
