The wife got me bg3 for Christmas, I’m very much enjoying it on my deck. Working through path of exile acts again, currently middle of act 7, decided to take a break for some don’t starve together which the d&d group plays when someone doesn’t show up, with happened a lot this holiday season.
Finished up the God of War Valhalla DLC (which was awesome), and now I’m playing through Little Nightmares 2. Almost done with it. Short but really good!
I play for a few hours most nights but I will say that the devs come across as so inept it is equally fun & frustrating. When the teamwork just naturally works there is nothing that can beat it but the amount of bugs and performance issues majorly let it done.
Xcom: Enemy Within, Long War mod. Firaxis made a masterpiece of a series with Xcom and Xcom 2, and I’m finally delving into the Long War mod made by Pavonis Interactive, and it just adds so much refinement to the game.
And I’m working on finally getting save scumming out of my system, once and for all lol. Its long past time I stopped being a scrub and got good.
I was playing Laika for a bit. The difficulty is pretty brutal - one of the harder games I’ve played in awhile. Like, you can randomly die from basic movement mechanics if you’re not paying attention. I wasn’t having fun anymore, so I had to drop it.
Moved on to Going Under, and that’s a lot more my speed
I’m absolutely smitten with Cobalt Core. It’s been called “FTL meets Slay the Spire,” but I’d say it’s more the former than the latter (which works for me, I liked FTL a lot more). There’s also a dash of Hades-style storytelling. This won’t have the legs StS can have for the deckbuilding nerds, but I’m having a blast with it.
The writing cracks me up, the soundtrack is phenomenal, and the strategy is keeping me engaged. Also, must protect Riggs at all costs. 💜
I managed to get a copy of Chu Chu Rocket for Dreamcast, so that’s been one I’ve been playing. But I’ve also continued with my addiction to Backpack Hero (even if it’s slowly fading).
