GeneralEmergency,

I don’t think you have played either Pokémon or Palworld. Because they have nothing in common.

GeneralEmergency,

One is an RPG and the other is a crafting survival,

Palworld is just ARK with the dinosaurs replaced by off brand Pokémon,

GeneralEmergency,

If it means Fromsoft aren’t releasing the same game again I’ll take it.

GeneralEmergency,

Just think of the loot boxes they can sell.

GeneralEmergency,

Ten years of Stockholm syndrome would cause that.

GeneralEmergency,

Dick “The Cock” Johnson?

GeneralEmergency,

It’s actual purpose is to infuriate lemmy users

That doesn’t actually take much to do. Especially the talentless hacks calling themselves “artists”

GeneralEmergency,

Ten years to make one well received game. After two failed high budget titles, an attempt at a franchise, Ghostwire and a mobile game supported for only five months.

The studio head Shinji Mikami left shortly after Hi-Fi rush. So I would guess any projects they had in the works weren’t interesting enough to justify the costs.

GeneralEmergency,

Just hype the game to shit and release it unfinished. there’s a reason the most popular mods are all bug fixes.

GeneralEmergency,

What can you say gamers love anti-Semitism.

GeneralEmergency,

You mean to tell me that Nintendo don’t want their kid friendly mascot waving guns around.

I don’t know, sounds an awful lot like 1984.

GeneralEmergency,

it’s only available on ubisoft’s proprietary launcher

I just want to have it available on my usual storefront, Steam

The fucking irony.

GeneralEmergency,

If your games are on steam, you’re already not owning them

Almost as if all the “evil” in the game’s industry Valve started.

GeneralEmergency,

G*mers will do anything to avoid saying anything bad about Lord Gaben

GeneralEmergency,

Especially when Epic is funding development with those deals.

GeneralEmergency,

Considering the Devs were notoriously silent after the game’s release. That wouldn’t be hard.

GeneralEmergency,

8 years of development before release, and they’re only getting to this now. What a load of shit.

GeneralEmergency,

A quick 5 minute search shows me that this is true. Lots of articles and lists out there. And the only games I could see that weren’t sequels or remakes, are Starfield and Harry Potter.

This isn’t a new development either. Pong had a sequel.

GeneralEmergency,

Not arguing. Just stating my experience.

GTA 6’s Publisher Says Video Games Should Theoretically Be Priced At Dollars Per Hour (www.forbes.com) angielski

While Take-Two is riding high on their announcement that a GTA 6 trailer is coming, its CEO has some…interesting ideas on how much video games could cost, part of a contingent of executives that believe games are underpriced, given their cost, length or some combination of the two.

GeneralEmergency,

The same thought pattern gamers have had for years.

Use of AMD Anti-Lag+ technology in Counter Strike 2 will result in a VAC Ban, Valve confirms (videocardz.com) angielski

AMD has made an oversight in implementing their new technology that poses a significant issue for Counter Strike 2 players who have opted to utilize AMD’s AntiLag+. Recently, AMD introduced a new 23.10.1 driver allowing players to access this technology in the game. However, it has now been confirmed that utilizing this...

GeneralEmergency,

People spent 8 years making Cyberpunk their entire personality. Of course they are going to make it seem like the best thing since stuffed crust pizza.

GeneralEmergency,

Yeah game companies are using an actor’s credibility to shill their rushed trash. See Cyberpunk

GeneralEmergency,

ITT: G*mers being Stockholmed.

GeneralEmergency,

Epic is chasing that because they really want what Valve has, though no doubt they plan to speedrun the enshittification process as soon as they think it safe.

Like what Steam did with Greenlight and the plague of early access asset flips that clogged its home page for years?

GeneralEmergency,

Steam happily took money from unity asset flips and one level early access titles for years.

They have zero quality control and instead hashed out the curator system for users to do their job for them.

GeneralEmergency,

Because there is a gamer. Someone who plays games.

And Gmer. Someone who’s entire personality is based around games, and not in the fun healthy way. But in the justifying a monopoly because it’s their colour way. Just look at some of the comments here and you’ll see a lot of Gmers.

GeneralEmergency,

Great job, missing my point entirely.

Steam created an ecosystem for these asset flips for their own gain, at the expense of the customers and legitimate Devs.

GeneralEmergency,

The trading card feature created an ecosystem allowing cheap asset flips to quickly make the threshold. And make their money back, creating a positive feedback loop.

Steam allowed its store to be flooded with these games at the expense of its customers because it got it’s cut.

GeneralEmergency,

Hit a nerve I guess.

Stadia's death spiral, according to the Google employee in charge of mopping up after its murder (www.pcgamer.com) angielski

A statement from a Google employee, Dov Zimring, has been released as a part of the FTC vs Microsoft court case (via 9to5Google). Only minorly redacted, the statement gives us a run down of Google's position leading up to Stadia's closure and why, ultimately, Stadia was in a death spiral long before its actual demise....

GeneralEmergency,

Not exactly a unique situation to Stadia. Look at any failed console and lack of games is a prominent reason given why.

Not to mention the issues raised from a cloud service streaming platform that plagued previous attempts. I’m honestly surprised Stadia lasted as long as it did.

GeneralEmergency,

With the way G*mers are trying to justify being shitheads. It does feel like Reddit.

GeneralEmergency,

complains about others wearing nostalgia goggles

calls Cysis dope

GeneralEmergency,

It’s a Bethesda game, when did they ever do that?
