Baldur's Gate 3 is so good, and this is coming from someone who struggled to get into isometric CRPGs in the past (really wanted to get into Divinity: Original Sin 2, but couldn't make it stick; I'll probably have to revisit that after loving this so much). Definitely give this one a go!
Right? BG3 seems like it’s going to be a gateway game into more CRPGs for me. I think I’ll try my best to enjoy Divinity OS 2 afterwards as well, but I think my problem with that game is more about the unbalanced, nonexistent class structure and random difficulty spikes rather than the genre, which BG3 fixed by using tried and true D&D rules. But maybe I’ll see it from a different angle and appreciate it more.
This is exactly my experience. Always liked CRPGs, but I’ve literally never finished any of the classics, or any traditional CRPG for that matter (closest would be Disco Elysium or Dragon Age: Inquisition for me). But BG3 is really hitting for me. I absolutely love it, and I want to give more of these a try once I finish it.
why is this drawn like a youtube clickbait thumbnail. defences isnt #1 because poe2 is designed to be more mechanic-driven for combat, so mechanics come into play more than numbers. if mechanics are more important than numbers, the numbers arent important. so the numbers are at the end of the priority list. its very shrimple
It’s one of the easiest to pick up and play imo. There’s no bad tracks so just select a cup and you’re guaranteed to have a good time with or without friends
Don't get me wrong, I love steam and would probably keep buying it the platform given the chance.
However (it's very unlikely) valve could go and do a Google and start locking down their store and there is realistically nothing I can do about it (other than yo ho). Gog doesn't have that problem with drm free games. But they really don't support open source like valve has gone.
Thanks for another great post. These give me such a feeling of nostalgia! Can’t believe I’m reading Tibia news. I used to no life that game as a kid haha. Might have to look into trying it out again. …I bet I could play it on the deck…
Did you play the first KCD on the steam deck? It’s on my list to play, but I haven’t looked at how it handles on there or if I should just use my actually medicine to play.
PS: where did that first image come from? The girl and cat in the arcade, I love it!
