“that fucking helicopter level”, for me, refers to the rc heli missions in gta vice city

FrowingFostek,

Same! I even played it on multiple platforms, no good

BradleyUffner,

Man, fuck those levels. I literally could not progress in the game because I was stuck on one of those. That experience lowered my opinion of the entire game, and I’ve never gone back because of it.

At the core of the custom sex doll experience is the concept of control and creativity. Unlike traditional relationships or casual encounters, custom tifa sexdolls allow for complete personalization. Buyers can choose every aspect of the doll's appearance, from skin tone and eye color to body shape, hairstyle, facial features, and even finer details such as freckles or tattoos. This level of customization ensures that the doll matches the user's ideal image of beauty and attraction, offering a level of satisfaction that generic mass-produced dolls or virtual simulations cannot achieve. The ability to create a TPE sex doll that mirrors one’s fantasies, no matter how specific or unconventional, plays a powerful role in enhancing both physical pleasure and emotional connection.

check out:

Ink Inside On steam.

It’s a couch co-op action RPG with ranged combat meets beat em up fights. Aesthetic is 2014 cartoon network, with a story based on a lost Nickelodeon pilot. Voice cast is solid with Brian David Gilbert too.

If it sounds interesting, could definitley be up your alley!

Any game with a mandatory stealth section all of a sudden

johncandy1812,

I had an opposite situation with Death Stranding. Was enjoying the “stealth” till suddenly had to fight Mads Mikkelsen guns blazing. The forced change in approach made me drop the game.

tatann,

The opposite is obviously quite frustrating too.

I’ve heard the same issue with one of the possible endings in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, where you’re forced to kill dozens of enemies (if you didn’t pick the narrative choice that forces you into a forced stealth section à la Alien Isolation). Both choices can derail from the rest of the gameplay (100+ hours)

Great DLC nonetheless

YiddishMcSquidish,

Big reason I never finished Witcher 2

tatann,

I remember frustrating parts in the Witcher 2 but I don’t remember a stealth section

samus12345,

Deadpool.

Flickerby,

Fucking ff14, doesn’t do stealth well at all, why is it in so many main story quests ugh

andros_rex,

OG FF7 did it right.

I don’t mind shaking the gameplay up, but if I fail the stealth a couple times, just go ahead and let me go in guns blazing.

ZeffSyde,

After MGS blew up EVERY GAME had to have a stealth section all of the sudden, even if it made no sense in the narrative and clashed with the existing game mechanics.

tatann,

And now it’s the era of Darksouls, where every game have to make you puke blood instead of having fun

Great write up, definitely gonna have to check this project out.

I always love it when the answers to “how did you join the team” are pretty much “got in there and started doing shit.” It’s part of what makes me love open source so much.

PerfectDark,
@PerfectDark@lemmy.world avatar

I love that in these cases that whim of joining leaves people with a project they love, a community to enjoy, and friends for life!!!

Really, thats what I love in the FOSS world too!

Glad you enjoyed this, let me know what you think of it when you check it out, I’m super curious how you find it :)

Quetzalcutlass, (edited ) do gaming w That fucking helicopter level

There’s a level in one of the Battlefield: Bad Company games where you’re ambushed by two attack helicopters in the desert and the only cover is a small building. Did I mention Bad Company has fully destructible environments and you’ve already fought in said building so it’s full of holes before the helicopters start blowing it apart? Or that a third helicopter shows up mid-battle?

It’s not too bad if you know what’s coming and preserve some cover, but if the building is in bad shape when they show up then you’re not going to have a fun time.

Unique in that they’re the first two have two trackpads on their handheld, like the Steam Deck does.

This sentence broke my brain

PerfectDark,
@PerfectDark@lemmy.world avatar

I get what you mean…kinda negates the ‘unique’ wording there, but the outspoken downside to so, so many handhelds which are released (and touted to be) in ‘competition’ with the Steam Deck tend to omit them. The LeGo got closest with the right-hand side one, which is still kinda small.

I know it’s worded poorly, but I can (if I peer) still see what I’m trying to convey even with how its set out there!

Somehow I didn’t even see it when you pointed it out!!! -__-

Yep, that’s on me!

zipzoopaboop,

Haha it’s a huge post with a lot of great info and I get what you were going for, I immediately disregarded the non steam decks for lacking dual touch pads after using desktop mode on deck. It’s just funny to see it’s unique then immediately say it’s not

Holy mother of GabeN, thank you SO much for putting RomM on the spotlight !

This project is so forward thinking, it deserves all the help it can get to ensure a bright future. Personally, I can’t wait for RetroDECK sync support. The day they merge that glorious commit is the day I pull my shit together and go neck deep into my ROM collection.

Well, keep an eye on RetroDECK + RomM, being friends with the RetroDECK devs, I can say they’re taking that idea just as seriously as you are!!!

Absolutely love these posts. Look forward to it each week! I’m really curious to watch SteamOS grow into something bigger for desktops someday.

While many of us would probably go to a more specific Linux Distro, having the option for the average user to move away from Windows (especially in a less intimidating or familiar fashion) is a big step forward.

SabinStargem, do games w What are some good cooperative shooters? Hidden gems?

Earth Defence Force. Basically, you are participating in a B-movie scenario, with UFOs, kaiju, giant ants, flamethrower clams, and winged frogs. It is quite a good time, and the higher difficulties require genuine skill and cooperation.

EDF 6 is the best in the series from a gameplay standpoint, but is far weaker than 4 or 5 when it comes to the level design + narrative. Still, the QOL pushes the game to the next level, especially if you got pals to tackle the missions. There many different weapons, not just in power, but also shot pattern, reload style, knockback, and so forth. Also, there WILL be hundreds of enemies on onscreen at any given moment. Each of the four classes have very distinct characteristics when it comes to loadout, mobility, and purpose, so you should be able to find a good match for yourself.

Earth Defense Force 6 - trailer

Jotunn,

I’m not really sure EDF 6 is the best entry point to the series, as it’s a direct sequel to EDF 5. I think it will get really confusing story- and missionwise, more so than it already is. EDF 5 was a soft reboot and is also a bit cheaper.

My friends and I really liked the WORLD BROTHERS 2 spinoff too, if someone is looking to play with a young player that might be a better starting point than the mainline games. The rest of the series spinoffs have not really done it for us.

Zagam,

Yeah. My kids and I play this together. It’s a lot of fun. It’s not as thinky as some other games but for a quick hour or two, it’s a blast.

@PerfectDark I only recently cames across with project and it looks amazing - like a Jellyfin for games. I only wish there was plugin support for Retroarch/Lutris or something similar rather than needing to rely on EmulatorJS.

I love the work you've done sitting down with the team and it's definitely convinced me to put this one down as the next of my ever growing number of services going onto my homelab cluster.

As an aside, I also wanted to thank you for your writing in general. I used to do a lot of writing (heck, I did three quarters of a journalism degree a lifetime ago), and the effort and quality you put into this stuff has definitely started that itch in me again...

Please do!!!

I’d love to read more from ‘our’ circle of people. I find there’s…not enough, which is (in part, anyway) why I like to try my best at sharing this kind of thing. Especially in an atmosphere where short videos are consumed like crazy, where A.I. can slap together (poorly) someone’s writing, and where the big sites are just click-bait or begging for subscriptions and support.

IDK, I’d love to read whatever you’d be writing!

And thank you so much for writing this, I’m gonna link the RomM team to a new convert :P

We integrate for now with playnite (lutris for windows) and any handheld that can run muOS or Portmaster, but Lutris integration is on the list! Sadly, retroarch doesn’t have a plugin system, so for now that’s discarded

I still like warframe, even though it has a few headaches in there that make it more annoying than it needs to be. I don’t want to trade my ducat fodder or passive rep for slots and potatoes every time a new update comes out. But I do like dressing up my space dolls and blasting my trumna for hours on end
