Stalker Anomaly is available to download for free on moddb.com, and its actually a modded version of the original games. but GSC has allowed them to redistribute the game for free.
Well it doesn’t actually fail the mission, but everyone in the room immediately starts blasting with their big automatic weapons and all you have is a pistol with literally no cover to hide behind.
I do love that the game just lets you go for it though.
Return to CW runs on a potato and it’s lots of fun. I know there are lots others, but just throwing that out there. I think it would be challenging to find a modern PC that couldn’t run it.
I love the thing about the bees. I remember doing the exact same thing multiple times. I eventually learned that you should leave them on the catwalk on the side of the ship and then run to grab them once the ship is leaving (since you're safe as long as you're on the ship somewhere, you'll just be teleported inside with whatever you're carrying).
Also, the airhorn is great. I think I like the hairdryer even more because it's louder, and I think it's fun that you can recharge it to get more VRRRRRRRs out of it.
It’s not guaranteed to get anything of value before you hit the boss. There aren’t many chests, active items are often highly situational and you may be forced to abandon it. This may be expected/intended and I may even be able to beat the boss anyway, but it’s more tedious.
Very likely that keys and blanks (both multi-functional), more chests, or money don’t drop enough. This already means waiting on making some choices until after the floor is mostly cleared (despite this not being the best/easiest option for survival) especially when it comes to the alternate path.
I think so, but that’s also has massive tradeoffs on its own. If I did that, it was probably mostly Robot w/Ser Junkan runs.
I probably would prefer a mod that makes active items only show up in shops (or perhaps chosen selection/loot-table at the start or per-character). Also: have the RR leave junk when taking some items (not ammo).
I do see one mod (Justice) to alter spawning which would probably help a bit (depending on the character, still not perfect early on). Plus I have other games to be bad at, some of them free (and slightly less frustrating).
I think that’s part of the game, it trains you by making sure you can clear the first levels even if your items are bad or you had bad RNG.
After a while I was able to consistently clear the entire first floor with just my starting revolver (Huntress). Maybe with the Marine it will be easier.
That being said, it can take a long time for this so if you don’t play very often it is definitely frustrating.
Released just last week, great fun frog game. It seems like a stardew valley x terraria type thing with some own interedting systems like frog genetics.
I’ve just been replaying it again since it was included in gamepass - already have hundreds of hours racked up between PC & Switch.
Definitely my favourite roguelite. And the soundtrack is so good. Haven’t tried Exit since I heard bad things, and I never really got to the point where I’d fully completed the first. But that teaser got me super pumped.
Yeah I love the first one. Also have hundreds of hours on it. I think the only things I’ve not unlocked are from the secret boss fight that is different from the others.
Exit was pretty terrible. It felt like a gimmicky cash grab.
