Typically, for any game that has a campaign, I would consider completing that completing the game.
That doesn’t mean you can’t continue to have fun in endless modes or multiplayer. That’s a different orientation.
For multiplayer games, there’s no completion really. Play the tutorial? All maps once? Win once? Ranks? Endless leveling progress? All achievements? None of those really fit. There is no completion to a game without designed, completable progress. If there’s a max level, one could consider that a kind of completion. All achievements may subjectively fit too.
I love this game. Made the walks with my kid more fun and longer. The fact that I only have to check the game once or twice a day depending on what I am doing is perfect.
Okay, I agree with the sentiment and all, but don’t you think that your comment is a little petty when you are not contributing to OP’s question and instead hijack the post to push an agenda?
Yeah maybe it was petty but I don’t think it was unwarranted. Every other comment so far was an exact clone of “It’s alright” so I figured I’d add a unique perspective to the conversation.
I will never be guilt tripped into speaking out against a company who engages in shitty practices, but nice try.
My man, this isn’t shaming. It’s someone politely pointing out that the entire world isn’t your personal soap box.
Want to speak out about how shit Ubisoft is? Go make your own thread. I’m being serious, Lemmy is overdue for some name and shame of horrendous game companies, and it’d be good to have some sort of megathread documenting their bullshittery here on the fediverse.
This also doesn’t really offer a different perspective on whether the game is enjoyable or not. Your justified distaste for Ubisoft is an entirely different topic to the question asked.
I used to play that. It was pretty good. I just downloaded Diablo Immortal again. It’s hard to find something like it. Other games I like are Eternium and Anima.
Not a pc game but rather on mobile. It’s a really solid fantasy CYOA game and (if you wanted to) play through the next set of story chapters completely for free as long as you meet the achievement requirements. Barring that, buying books (as the game calls it) has a rather fair price. Unfortunately the game is incomplete as the solo developer has sadly passed away, but what is here is great with a decent length since there’s been years of book chapters. Genuinely a hidden gem that I discovered on a whim back early in highschool, and it’s sad that I won’t be able to see the end they envisioned, so with that in mind I’ll be replaying this game again in the near future.
