I’ve gone back to Hand of Fate 2 for like… the 15th time. Just such a cool concept. In a world full of card-based roguelikes, I’ve still never seen anything else quite like it.
Your deck isn’t just the equipment and buffs you might gain. It’s also the threats you might face, and the clues that might lead to new quests.
You’re playing against the deck, in many ways. Such a simple inversion, but it opens up the door to so many interesting modifiers.
I don’t see Soldier of Fortune mentioned, so this is my pick. Yes, it’s old, but back in the day it had the best gun play I saw. Haven’t played it in over decade, but it can’t be that bad, can it?
For moba: dots, overwatch 2, League of legends, deadlock
For RTS, Aoe2, aoe4, starcraft, Warcraft 3, beyond all reason
Some fun events could be osrs pking tournament, classic shooters like halo, quake, unreal, kart racing games fighting games like tekken, street fighter, guilty gear, mortal kombat
Team games are harder than 1v1 because getting all the teams together is like herding cats and following the action of all players is challenging. Probably best to do it all on PC and rent 12 PC’s for the day. People can bring their own controllers and play that way if they choose.
I saw this on Steam but the “1st Chapter” subtitle is a red flag. Is this a remake of a complete game or a partial release like the FFVII remakes?
Edit: Although the above concern has been addressed, this $60 game now has $75 worth of DLC just a day after release. I think this may be a patient gamer situation.
Thank you, that’s what I was trying to figure out. I’m guessing that the worst case scenario is that I can play the originals if they don’t remake the sequels. I think I’ll pick this up. I could use a good story-based single player game.
The short answer is something people can play on a phone. Console ownership is not so prolific that you can assume people will have them, or that they will know how to use them properly. To that point the jackbox games are great for this
