Not really a review channel, but Josh from Let’s Game It Out is my favorite. He loves to break games, whether they are polished or janky. One of the few YT creators that I actually allow subscription notices.

slin,

Yeah, some videos of him are better than comedy shows.

Quetzalcutlass,

He’s excellent, but I’ll stress the “not a review” part. He’s hilarious but you usually won’t get a good look at the games from watching his videos. He’ll often take a single mechanic and spend the entire video breaking the game in half using it, which means he won’t show 90% of the game’s content or how it normally plays.

Zahille7,

True, but he does show enough of the game to give you an idea of how it would play.

I got started playing Palworld from his video on it, and I got Hydroneer because of him too.

I don’t know what kind of funny or what style of review you’re looking for, but there’s Matt McMuscles, who does “What Happened” and “The worst fighting game”.

What happened is not technically always about bad games, but about troubled development in general. Most of them do end up rather disastrous or at least disappointing and are known for it though.

The worst fighting game, however, exclusively reviews bad games, since, well, he’s looking for the worst one.

Love Matt’s channel! Just a comfortable voice to listen to. Still mourning Super Best Friends. :(

Peffse,

I heard his voice in River City Girls 2 and was like “Is that the Criticom Saga guy…?” I didn’t think it was such a distinct voice but apparently it is.

brsrklf,

I didn’t know he did that, just checked… And yeah, the voice and tone are very recognizable but it’s also a bit funny that his character is a skeleton there too.

I’m assuming you already know AVGN, who pretty much invented it, but on the off-chance you don’t - his oldest videos are worth trying. I haven’t watched too much of his newer stuff, but I hear it devolved into pointlessness. Still, the backlog of good ones is massive.

AVGN is Angry Video Game Nerd, in case there’s any doubt.

LoadingReadyRun’s “watch+play” series could be worth a look. Not strict reviews, but entertaining videos based on terrible games.

slazer2au,

They truly have put some people through terrible games.

And sometimes we get gems like Tomato Way instead! Love LoadingReadyRun.

Deestan,

Tomato Way is a true wonder

Not necessarily bad games GmanLives also does retro games.

LGR does retro games and hardware. His detective Barbie video is great! youtu.be/xiZvk0WRBxs Clint!

Grimbeard is a favourite of mine, he focuses on mostly niche retro games with a lean towards horror

“Worst MMO Ever” series by Josh Strife Hayes

Peffse,

Animyst seemed like a genuinely creepy/interesting game to try to conquer with a handful of friends.

Not in the style of Civvie and not always pure comedy but Action Button reviews are the best video game review videos I’ve ever seen. I’d recommend his Doom review, it’s only four hours long.

Be aware, his videos are not to everyone’s taste.

MajorHavoc, do games w Steam Summer Sale - Top Deals

Rekt is a stunt game in the spirit of Tony Hawks Pro Skater.

The controls are fantastic. The levels are interesting. Various unlockable cars are fun. The gameplay loop is satisfying.

It was a fair deal back when it was $15.00. At $1.50 it’s an absolute steal.

Arkham, do gaming w What are your favourite controllers?

Steam Controller is a flawed masterpiece that I wish we had gotten another iteration of.

Also, speaking of the 8bitdo Pro 2 line, the wired Xbox version of the Pro 2 is pretty great. It’s similar to the regular Pro 2, but it has analog triggers, uses Xinput, and has Xbox coloring and branding. It’s like they took the best parts of Xbox, SNES, and Playstation controllers and mushed them all together.

sleepybisexual,

The normal one has xinput too. I have the general one. My pro2 has analog triggers too

derbis, do gaming w I asked what your fave controllers are, now. What is the worst controller you have used?

Man this thread is making me mad so I’mma head out

termus, do gaming w I asked what your fave controllers are, now. What is the worst controller you have used?

Any controller using Bluetooth.

sleepybisexual,

I like wired too but that’s a pretty big range lol

I never seem to get over 6 feet. 😆

sleepybisexual,

You know what I meant.

Lots of controllers are BT. From random shit to some really good ones

DarthYoshiBoy, do gaming w I asked what your fave controllers are, now. What is the worst controller you have used?

The U-Force

Got one for $10 at a yardsale as a kid and that $10 was 200% too much, they should have given me $10 to take it off their hands and I still would have dumped it in a dumpster afterwards.

sleepybisexual,

To kid you:

My condolences
