I just feel eh about it all. I prefer seeing them on other platforms and they play better on them. I'm just not that impressed that they finally get to be on Switch 2.

mox, do games w Day 259 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

I noticed a change in your titles a few days ago. What happened to “until l forget to post Screenshots”? I don’t think you forgot, did you?

MyNameIsAtticus,
@MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.world avatar

someone the other day suggested removing it because by day 250 something the chances i forgot would be slim. I was initially hesitant to do it, but ended up doing it just because it’s a lot better of a title. The rules are very much still “Until i forget”

slimerancher,
@slimerancher@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, if you “forget” about it now, there’s something pretty big happening in your life (or maybe the world). Though, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking a break every now and then, if you want.

MyNameIsAtticus,
@MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.world avatar

i’ve considered taking a break a few times or just “freezing” the day count, not because of burn out or anything but because i was just unsure if i could work with my schedule lol. I’m hesitent to take a break though because it kind of feel disingenuous and I’ve ended up working around my schedule each time. If i were to take a planned break though, i think a year would be the perfect point to do it

Just 107 days to go! 😀

Good luck!

Cyberpunk on a smartphone chip? I believe it when I see it.

natryamar,

You couldn’t see it cause the Livestream froze during that part lol

Aurenkin,

It works pretty well on the Steam deck. I’m not sure how powerful the switch 2 is relative to that though.

I saw one of these the other day. I love that these are modelled after the PSP, it’s glorious.

GooberEar, do games w Silksong announced for 2025 on the Nintendo Direct

For me, Hollow Knight started out a bit rough, got fun and interesting, but ultimately, I lost interest in trying to finish. There were parts which were a lot of fun, but eventually it became nothing more than a chore. And I’ve got too many other REAL chores to let a game like this stress me out. So I set it aside without finishing it.

Despite that, I’m looking forward to this sequel. I likely won’t be a day one buyer (but who knows???), but I’m still pretty sure I will eventually play it. I’m hoping there are some nice game play and story improvements, but even more of the same could be nice.

Bademantel,
@Bademantel@lemmy.world avatar

Interesting, I had a very similar experience. I loved exploring the world, gaining new powers to unlock even more areas and growing stronger along the way. The world felt alive and authentic. Traversal was fun and combat was fair. I also liked how the characters you randomly meet have their own journeys, making the world feel dynamic.

But as the ending approached, it lost some momentum. With such a vast world and so much to discover, getting from A to B to C took time. I never actually finished the game but somehow that felt fine. It was more about the journey than the destination, which is rare for me.

If the initial reviews are good, the sequel might be the first game I buy at full price in a long time.

gila, do gaming w [Enter the Gungeon 2](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2339840/Enter_the_Gungeon_2/)

I’ve just been replaying it again since it was included in gamepass - already have hundreds of hours racked up between PC & Switch.

Definitely my favourite roguelite. And the soundtrack is so good. Haven’t tried Exit since I heard bad things, and I never really got to the point where I’d fully completed the first. But that teaser got me super pumped.

neon_nova,

Yeah I love the first one. Also have hundreds of hours on it. I think the only things I’ve not unlocked are from the secret boss fight that is different from the others.

Exit was pretty terrible. It felt like a gimmicky cash grab.

Anyone tried Mudborne?

Released just last week, great fun frog game. It seems like a stardew valley x terraria type thing with some own interedting systems like frog genetics.
