Recently went back to OSRS after getting recommended a video essay about how Runescape is good that included a rant about capitalism ruining the enjoyment of labor and capitalism. It was funny enough to make me go back
Finished the Night Springs and the Lake House expansions, as well as Alan Wake 2 itself. I actually really liked The Lake House, and imo it was scarier than the main game. It got me really excited for Control 2.
Got through a few levels in Doom II.
Decided to have another go through We Happy Few, at least Arthur's chapter, as kind of a palate cleanser after spending so much time on Remedy games. I'm working on a few achievements, so it might end up being a longer playthrough than last time.
Is the game data actually in the portmaster directory when you browse the SD card on a PC? I know many pm games require copyrighted data to run (half life for example)
A lot of these stock OSes are crudely translated from Chinese perhaps “ready to play” isn’t literal.
I’ve gotten several portmaster games working on ArkOS on my Anbernic devices, check their wiki it’s probably similar to the setup required on the anbernic stock OS
The only other tip I can think of is to enable the auto save/load state in RA, now I can close my device and it’ll power off after 10 minutes. Turning it back on boots right into the last game and works really well
Excellent idea. It feels much better than having to manually launch the last game. I’m assuming you’ve already configured Rertroarch to create a save state any time a game is being closed.
Is there a way to have the hinge work as a power button even if the device is fully powered down? I really don’t like that you have to hold the power button for several seconds.
Neat theme, by the way. How difficult is it to create one of these?
From what I heard the processor’s“sleep” doesn’t have the super low power mode and would end up using too much battery, so the only way to get the hinge to wake would be to give up battery life. It would be really nice though, maybe another company will make their own SP with the feature 🤞
Theming isn’t hard! It’s pretty customizable and easy to work with, but there’s no style inheritance/file importing so custom pages might each have the same duplicate style settings in each
In a perfect world, sure, but in our reality you’d just get tons of people saying they want Elden Ring for a dollar or something.
But even if it worked, it’s just games getting on sale faster. Right now, you can either pay a higher price today or wait until the game gets as cheap as you want, but it might take months or years.
As for just the information, how much people would pay for a game, that’s what market research if for I guess.
This assumes people are rational and that what they say they are willing to pay matches what they are actually willing to pay. And that is just the people not trying to abuse the system.
Personally I don’t think I’d advocate for OP’s suggestion, but you could solve the problem by making the suggestion also a commitment for X period of time. If you make the suggestion, and the price drops within 90 days, it automatically purchases it, etc.
You can put in a buy order at 0.1 for a share worth 100. You’re dreaming, but you can still do it. Don’t think it really qualifies as abusing the system.
I’m guilty of this. So many times, I’ll see something at full price and say I’ll wait to buy it on sale. Then it goes on sale and I don’t feel like spending the money at all. Granted, I’m not trying to sway the market and screaming my bid, this is just my internal monologue. I have a backlog of games and a busy adult life, so it’s not like I’m game-poor. Just regular poor.
