It is an ad for sure, and the title is very misleading although the article clears some things up.
The $120 million is self funded, which is why the amount is relevant.
"In the works for 40 years" includes the time from when the idea to make the movie was conceived. That is common filmmaking terminology since a lot of films that are in the works end up having trouble finding funding or a distributor, and getting both are a big part of the process. Sometimes they take longer than the time from preproduction to the theater.
In the works for 40 years is also a giant red flag and I assume it is going to be mediocre at best.
Picking pronouns is like picking height/weight/any other customization, just how you want to be seen or what text to put in the lines NPCs say to your character.
I would bet the main launcher's shaders that then closes to launch MW2 is doing the Warzone shaders. Before MW3 came out it would just do shaders once for both Warzone and MW2.
Have CoD MW2 on steam because it is one of the few games that I can do cross play with a friend who only plays on consoles and I'm on PC. They changed the steam launcher with CoD MW3 to some combined thing that launches, then I pick MW2 and the new launcher closes and then starts MW2 from scratch.
Yes, the launcher launches so that it can close and open MW2 like it used to.
But the best part is that CoD on PC does the thing where the game loads, tells you it has and update and requires a restart, Then when it restarts it has to update shaders. The best part is that both the stupid launcher and MW2 have separate updates and shaders. So the worst one was launcher has an update and has to load twice and complete shaders. Then MW2 starts and then requires an update, restarts and then shaders.
That's right, one time it took launching FOUR times and two sets of shaders just to start playing.
It is now uninstalled and is one of the few games on steam that I reviewed just so I could complain about this stupid design. Feels good to vent again because I had a ton of fun that made restarting twice annoying but tolerable, but always launching twice and sometimes more is just ridiculous.
Another is any game that adjusts comeback mechanics during the course of a match, because I’ve never understood punishing someone for playing well
The idea behind it is aiming for a close ending for a variety of skill sets by trying to balance things as the last minute, but it certainly feels like punishing anyone who does well early on.
Some implementations are kinda fun when they seem like actual balancing, but only if they are early enough for the winning team/person to be able to address and not some unstoppable surprise on the last lap/few seconds of a match like a blue shell in Mario Kart.
Like all entertainment, being an author is generally not lucrative unless you are established as an author or some other kind of entertainer with name recognition. Once you are and can negotiate things like film rights or future book royalties then the sky is the limit.
I mix it up and play a wide variety of character genders, races, ethnicities and species. Whatever catches my eye during character creation for the most part, and if I replay a game I actively pick something different on different play throughs as it is a reminder that I'm playing this character instead of a different character.
So I don't actively or exclusively play female characters for a significant reason, just aesthetics of the game.
I assume that 99.99% of that 95% from threads will not be missed and the other .01% will be linked by someone from a non-threads instance just like how tiktok and other social media currently gets linked.
