The thought came to mind after reading a recent post about Baldurs Gate 3 here but it reminded me of the Japense only PSX game Mizzurna Falls where if you don’t perform a certain action early in the game you are prevented from getting a true ending. While this might not be a traditional soft lock because you can still progress...
Diablo 4, Path of Exile, and the rest of the ARPG genre has competition in the mega-ambitious Last Epoch, built by its Reddit community and heading towards 1.0....
The biggest difference is that PoE gets huge expansions every 3-4 months with new content while Grim Dawn only mostly gets numeric patches. Yeah there’s a new expansion on the horizon, but it’s been a good while…
… On the story. Their priority is the story. The cash shop is quite recent and the time it takes to develop isn’t even in the same universe as story content. Story content requires developing new zones, new enemy types, voice acting… They spent tons of time developing multiplayer, that’s a huge undertaking by itself where they are improving constantly. They just reworked some quests and remade the tylesets of some campaign zones. Developing the cash shop can’t have been more than 5% of the time they spent developing last year.
Either you don’t know about development in general, you are blinded by rage with the drama they had with the release of the cash shop (which they reworked) or you are being malicious. I’m guessing 1 or 2.
The 10€ DLC iirc only has content that references their past Divinity games, I feel like it’s one of the fairer DLCs, given that it’s completely innecesary for the full experience and might even detract from it for non larian fans. I feel like it’s better to give it as an extra purchase than include it in the pack.
Full disclosure I backed/preorderd the game the moment they announced in kickstarter and I have gotten it for 40ish euros iirc, and I got the DLC content for being an early backer. I don’t usually preorder but it’s Larian, they always overdeliver, and this time they did also, while raising the price of the completed game because they overdeveloped the initial concept way too much lol.
spoilerNah man, not with Purah at least, it’s more to show to show how tall she is now that she has grown, the glossary has her old art as a comparison too. I did not fully play BoTW so I’m not sure if Riju appeared there, but I bet it’s something similar.
Than most Solid State Drives you mean, since Hard Drive Disks have way slower read speeds than USB 3.0/3.1, I even have proof, My partners BG3 game was laggy as hell in her hard drive, but it’s manageable to play in an external SSD connected to USB3.1. The read speed changes from 35MB7s-ish to 500MB/s-ish iirc. it was VERY noticeable. Her laptop is a gaming laptop bought 4 years ago, and the processor/grapphics card works pretty well still, but the 250GB SSD is just not enough to manage windows and all the other games/programs, and the HHD is way too slow, so yeah. In the future changing the SSD to put a bigger one would be the best but for now an external drive works wonders.
it’s not really what’s good or not, some devices function weird with some stuff. I’ve had the game open for the whole day or more and the only I ssue I had, before upgrading to 32GB (Had 16) is that the game went to the swap after alt tabbing for some time since it seems like nowadays 16 is nothing if you have 20 tabs open (don’t judge me), discord, telegram, nvidia broadcast (takes 1 gig) and some other shit. In any cast, after switching back it took 2-3 minutes of moving stuff to the ram again and it all worked well.
Now that I have 32 GBs of ram I have had zero issues with the game, I believe it takes something like 6-7GB.
For reference I have a 5800 and a GTX 3080, but this is more of an issue with the API calls they are using and how is the processor runing those calls and how they interact with memory.
Eh, kinda. They are revamping lots of stuff but more importantly they will add a “veteran” mode to Ultimate, so the story content becomes as hard as shattered realm, for people that prefer to do skeleton key dungeons or jsut campaign content to farm instead of shattered realms.
Also a new class focused on cold/bleed, dw and a chaos transmutter.
Yeah you get some slack as in I’ll still recommend the game, purchase it, enjoy it and state that it’s great. I’m still going to complain about shitty optimizations so that even more people get to enjoy the game in all it’s glory. It’s painful that my gf’s game lags all the time and that she can’t enjoy the same cutscenes that I do because of performance.
Building upon the foundation of v1.2’s massive changes (now in public playtesting!), we are proud to announce that Grim Dawn will be receiving a third expansion: Fangs of Asterkarn!
This is an act 1 scene that you probably missed because you warped to act 2 without enough long rests done to play them all. It’s… been a while since the game released and it’s written in a thread where they are commenting Minthara recruitment, which is arguably way more spoilery than this.
all possible actions should show up on the K panel, I have dragged the “non-lethal toggle”, the eldritch blast push toggle and all of those the the actual bar to be able to juggle them.
Then maybe we who haven’t played the game shouldn’t be having opinions on some aspects of it, because context matters and we lack context on the whole plot.
I didn’t say you had a strong opinion either. In any case, having any sort of slavery present in a “medieval-esque” game doesn’t sound too weird to me. From the promotional material it seems like the game is about fights between countries and some eikons/primals/titans and the characters channel the fight of those primals though them?
The whole concept of primals is linked to slavery by the very simple notion that once the character is touched by their mana, it becomes a slave to them. This is how it has worked in all the FF games I have played.
IDK, complaining about the game having aspects of slavery but not addressing them seems a weak complaint to me when probably the game was never about the thing, the thing just being a setting. And I’m not against the thing being just a minor setting, not every game must either make t their focus or make it not exist.
Again, I have not played through it so I’m not gonna say if their implementation is correct or not. All I’m gonna say is that Americans really focus so god damn much in the slavery topic, it’s like unless it’s properly addressed it’s some kind of taboo in media.
Is it just me or is the whole Karlach romance EXTREMELY well done? I know I’m a big ol’ weird softie and your mileage may vary, but it had me laughing and crying and cheering!...
It’s not DnD logic, you can revivify a mosnter if you want to, although it only works if they died a minute ago max, and you can use another spell to make that last longer. Also, revivify costs diamond dust. It’s BG3 logic.
if that nice moment with her was both seated talking, then that’s the first scene. One thing you can do with followers once their approval is high enough, is to go back to act 1 and spam partial long rests to trigger the remaining act 1 scenes. Then go to act 2 and do the same to see if new ones pop up.
