billwashere,

Then Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Part 2; Chapter 2

billwashere,

Because any negative number x 0 is still 0?

billwashere,

Yeah their stupid naming convention is exactly what was going through my mind reading that.

billwashere,

Fallout is proof you can make a video game show good and still be true to the original game. Halo was a completely different story they tried to throw the Halo brand on and didn’t give two shits about the game. Bungie should have sued them for slander…. or whoever owns the brand now.

billwashere,

Yeah I thought so too but I wasn’t sure.

billwashere,

I have a PS5 and I still do because I can’t afford $500 for the PSVR2 upgrade and I like playing Beat Saber.

billwashere,

Yeah exactly. And it’s often the only feedback that gets any attention unfortunately. It was getting media attention and getting very loud.

Plus the whole thing was just stupid. They could have accomplished exactly the same thing with little backlash by offering some little in-game trinket for voluntarily linking a PSN account where it was possible to get one. This wasn’t my idea, I saw it somewhere on Lemmy, but that person needs to get a job at Sony stat because the chucklefucks working there now have no clue.

billwashere,

According to the wiki page… “In May 2024, Take-Two announced it would shut down Intercept Games but continue to update Kerbal Space Program 2 under the Private Division label.”

billwashere,

Well I’m 53 and my wife is 56 and it hasn’t happened to us yet.

billwashere,

When all the kids are outta the house and you have an empty nest, only then do you find the time.

billwashere,

Yeah this is a good one.

billwashere,

This article is essentially written by an Epic fan boy that’s “hoping” Steam will eventually succumb to capitalism and commence the enshittification that is happening elsewhere.

billwashere,

I agree with your basic assessment.

As a mac user I’d love to see more mac games. I think it’s a relatively underutilized platform. Im not a game developer but it seems like one of the main issues of game development is the complete mishmash of supported hardware and different components and trying to optimize and support all of them. In that respect, macs seem more like consoles in their limited number of configurations and hardware variance so optimizations SHOULD be easier. Or at the very least not as complex. But macs are expensive and there is not a lot of overlap between gamers and mac. So therefore not a lot of mac games. It was easier when you could bootcamp and also play games on windows but that’s not really possible anymore.

billwashere,

I got my wife to play Mario Wonder and we are currently playing some old school NES Super Mario 2 & 3. Life is good.

billwashere,

Judges? Ding ding. They’ll allow it!

billwashere,

So 3D Rampage. Hope The Rock will be in this movie too. He was kinda flat in the first one.

billwashere,

Yeah I swear this was just like Halo.

  1. Find a movie script that was barely related to the thing it was originally supposed to be about
  2. Change a few small things in the script so it would seem like it was supposed to be about that original thing
  3. Slap a title on it that will drive ticket sales
  4. Profit.

It barely had anything to do with Rampage and I played a lot of that game when I was in high school.

[SOLVED] Need help getting my dad to play Baldur's Gate 3 angielski

Edit: Looks like the GOG version is available for OS X, so I’m hoping that’ll work. I guess I was just a little tipsy when looking at the GOG page since it’s the holidays and missed it. Also, I didn’t think about Steam gift cards/PayPal. That’s another way of getting games on Steam without giving payment info. Thanks...

billwashere,

I would kill for my son to try to get me to play ANY video game with him, let alone BG3. I started playing D&D and video games over 40 years ago. He’s lucky to have a son like you. Hope you guys can figure this out.

billwashere,

How did you force that sound into my head?!?!

billwashere,

Oh how I miss the days of Evercrack.

billwashere,

It’s like these gaming companies have NO Q&A people at all. Build a lab with a bunch of varying levels of machines and see if the game is playable. It’s not really that difficult is it?

billwashere,

Again it ain’t the hardware, it’s the software.

billwashere,

I had to go digging but 3840x2160 is both 2160p AND 4k UHD. 4096x2160 is something called 4K DCI which is more of a camera or film industry thing and is rarely used for things like TVs or video games.

billwashere,

Wow. This was very informative. Thanks!
