Baldur's Gate 3 'Isn't Going to be on Game Pass', Insists Larian Boss (www.ign.com) angielski

In a new interview with IGN, Larian Studios boss Swen Vincke responded to questions about Baldur's Gate 3 being on Xbox Game Pass, explaining why the best RPG of 2023 won't be on Microsoft's subscription service anytime soon.

That’s unfortunate. I want to try this game, but I feel like I’m either going to love it, or hate it, and don’t want to waste my money if it’s the latter.

Any place I can try a demo?

I’ll watch the trailer 2 years from now, when the game is nearing completion. Until then this means almost nothing.

You’re making it worse, not better lol. There’s too much to do, that’s why I’m not returning, adding more is not the solution.

Technically yes, but at a certain point all you’re doing is tending your crops, which gets boring when you have nothing more to work towards.

Now there’s more to do, but since I did so much, I’m just burned out on the game, and can’t get back into it.

I’m aware of how the game works yes. Once I bought the golden clock, there was basically nothing to do on my farm except for planting on the first day of each season. Aside from that it’s fully automated. It just got boring, and it felt like the game was over, and I just can’t shake that feeling.

I know… They added it all afterwards, when I already felt like the game was over, and despite there being lots to do now, I just can’t will myself back into the game.

This has tempered my expectations for the show. I’ll give it a shot (fallout is my favourite game series), but I’m no longer super excited.

I’m worried about the humour. It felt like they’re trying to force it. We’ll see though, I’ll be happy to be wrong.

So basically all things that should’ve been there on release. Really glad I only played the demo and haven’t wasted money on this game yet. Although it sounds like it might finally be at a point worth playing.

The haptic feedback and trigger intensity is huge, those were major turn offs during the demo.

Unless the game your playing made their own, or someone else decided to self host and actually fill it with content (and finding it can be a pain), there isn’t one.

Hoping someone knows a good fallout wiki, I hate using fandom, but it’s the only one I can find with good info.

Guess I’ll downgrade to basic, I haven’t really found premium to be worth it anyway.

I’m also buying an xbox soon, so maybe I’ll just switch altogether. Well done PS, you may have lost a customer of nearly 20 years.

I’m happy they stuck close to the original. I wouldn’t be interested if they added a bunch of new areas. The triple combo seems interesting, but even that is a bit off-putting for me. I really do just want the old game with better graphics.

I got the original roller coaster tycoon from a cereal box! I got other games too, but that’s definitely the best (by far), and only one I remember.

Good job cdpr, I was planning on finally actually buying this game. Now you’ve told me it’s still the same mess it’s always been, and to continue holding off. Maybe in a few more years, when I can get the full game with dlcs for less than $30.

I’d probably just drop it at their feet. Even if they’re a vendor, it’s likely not worth the few seconds it would take to sell back to them.

Not surprised. I’m just trying to decide if I should get an xbox or a steam deck to play it on. Xbox seems like it’ll play it better, but portability is rather enticing.

Hmm, if the series s can play it well, that’s probably the direction I’ll go. Portability would be nice, but I wouldn’t use it that often, I’d likely get the tv dock and leave it there for 90% of its life. The series s has the best price point, and would probably serve my needs best

Haven’t heard of Avowed, and as much as I loved the old Fable games, I have little hope this one will do them justice. Starfield is literally the only reason I am interested in xbox (that may change once I have it, but for now that’s it)
