Every leak points to a remaster, using gamebryo for the game's logic and UE5 for the rendering part. Some leaks also mentioned it'll have an updated HUD, archery, stamina and blocking mechanics, but we don't know anything else.
I think the gaming community severely overstates the amount of people that mods their games. I wouldn't be surprised if less than 20% of Skyrim's players have ever used mods, and I'm damn sure having mod support or not wouldn't have any considerable change on their sales.
Eurogamer understands Bethesda’s current plan is to shadow drop the game next week on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, including via Xbox Game Pass.
TL;DR: Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser discussed with Wired the impact of new tariffs on the Nintendo Switch 2, which may increase its price from $449 to $600. The tariffs affect manufacturing in Vietnam, Cambodia, and China. Nintendo is assessing the situation, having already moved some production out of China.
You can simply not use any of the AI features. The studio claims the genAI is a model trained solely on material their artists and devs created for this exact purpose and it runs locally, and as far as I know there is nothing in the game that uses genAI other than what the players can generate.
UE doesn't get "near rebuilt from the ground up every major release", that would be an absurd waste of time and resources every time. It's being updated and iterated over, just like how CE is.
The problem here is that you don't like Bethesda games and jumped on the bandwagon of armchair developers using the engine as a scapegoat, ignoring the fact that many other mainstream game engines are just as old or more.
Creation Engine is the least of Bethesda's games problems, it's their game design that's the big issue and the reason why thinks are so bleak.
Also game very much recommends RTX 4000 series or better with frame gen turned on.
Capcom straight up recommends frame gen to get 60 FPS, which is not what the current frame gen tech was made for, it's ridiculous how bad this game runs
How is that a dick move? Bethesda (and other companies) don't owe anything to the very small community of modders of their products, and they certainly aren't doing this rumoured remake out of spite for the Skyblivion team.
I think Avowed is the smoothest (strictly comparative) game on UE5 I've played in a long time. I get 120fps locked on epic and no shader compilation stutters (1440p, 7900XTX and 7800X3D, FSR quality) outside of cities. As soon as I enter a city and move my camera/character, it dips to 50fps with my GPU barely being used and CPU spiking, which really doesn't make much sense to me considering the aren't a lot of NPCs in town and they don't move/have routines
The issue there is 4K, even with upscalers it's a massive rendering job for GPUs. Realistically, only the 4090 and 5090 could run in high settings at 4K (with or without upscaling). I had a 4K monitor with my 7900 XTX and decided to dial back to 1440p (and got a n OLED screen too) so I could run my games at max on 120 or 144 FPS, because at 4K I would get anything between 50 and 100 fps with a mix of high and medium settings
Gamers massively overstate minor inconveniences. TAA smearing, upscaling artifacts, VA ghosting and blooming, ray tracing noise, all of that you get used to it on a day or two and never notice it again but leave it to the gamer to go on a crusade like their lives and the world are doomed because of it
Patents are about how you achieve a goal, not the goal itself. You can have multiple parents on "switching for character to vehicle on top down 2D environment" as long as the means to do so are not the same.
Because they are different devices serving different purposes. The r36s is a portable emulator that'll run games from different consoles; the playdate is a portable console that runs games made specifically for the playdate.
His videos used to be pretty good, but his RE4 "comparison" one was pretty much 40 minutes of strawman arguments from someone that hates change. I'm not hopeful at all for this video here considering DRDR turned out really good as well.
Nope, they recommend being level 35 at least but I'm not sure if it's a requirement. While jumping from planet to planet you might encounter the Oracle, which is where the DLC starts.
It's a new story all contained in one planet, with everything being handcrafted instead of procgen.
On a side note, I can't remember the last time I played a DLC that added new mechanics
EDIT: folks, it's nice that we're sharing games with DLCs that alter or add game mechanics, but let's not forget that I said "I can't remember the last time I played"
Well it is an expansion pack, but nowadays I guess the distinction is kinda lost. I haven't gotten to start it yet since I'm battling terrible performance right now (a 3080 and 7800x3d are getting 40fps on low with DLSS performance on 2160p), I also haven't seen anything about the DLC, but I expect it to have some new shouts starborn powers, weapons/weapon types and some 20+ hours of content judging by the 40£ tag.
That is not how the new families work. The new on all you need to do is sent an invite and they'll be able to join the family. No need to log in their computers or authorise anything, just a simple invite.
That is certainly not the case, either something unexpected happened or either of you didn't have the families beta on. I have never logged in someone else's PC and neither have someone logged on mine, I always use Steam on beta and I was able to send family invites to my friends, however only the ones in my region (country) were able to join.
After the massive blunder of Starfield, I cannot see how Elder scrolls 6 could possibly be successful. Everything points to the fact that they knew that the game was not even half finished, in my opinion, with major glaring issues, and they decided to just send it off anyway. The difference between this game and Oblivion is that...
I agree with everything you said but to talk about Starfield, I think it even failed to be a Bethesda game. If their gimmick is to drop the ball, with Starfield they didn't even pick up the ball first to be able to drop it.
I'm not hopeful at all for TES6 and I'm a diehard TES fan, unless some major changes happen internally (and no, the engine is not the problem, it's who's developing in it and who's directing it all).
There are amazing and impressive games being made in Build engine (the one from classic DOOM) even today. The engine is not the issue, it's who's using it and how.
Gamers go all high and mighty with their expletives against creation engine but it doesn't matter, they could use an abacus or unrealdot unitybite rered 6 engine for all that it's worth and the games could still come out bad if they don't change how they approach and develop it.
I think we oughta wait for the game to at least leave the alpha, where huge changes happen from night to day, before concluding how toxic the game and mechanics will be
Well, double check that your bonds are ALT for the details menu and the number keys for the skills. If it still fails, you could always bind a mouse region to click on wherever the skills are and use it as a mode shift

And isn't everything derivative? What's the issue with that? If feel like you're really trying to gather negativity towards this game simply because it doesn't pander to your tastes
Because it's not identical. SMITE plays like the top down mobas but in a third person perspective. Deadlock plays like a third person shooter with moba elements.
People would still be talking about it if it were a flop, nonetheless this game has sold almost 2.5 million copies on Steam alone, far from being a flop.
There is no NDA to sign or anything though, only this pop up warning. Valve can't sue you for sharing details of the game but they absolutely can remove you from the play testing and/or ban you from ever playing it again for this.
It's a closed alpha test claiming everything is placeholder content and could/will change while they flesh out the design, hence why they don't want you to share anything.
