You’re totally right. That’s why I usually just assume, that the scale starts at 5, that gives a good idea about the quality of the game. A 7/10 would be a 2/5 on that revised scale, telling you what you want to know
This looks really cool. But I wouldn’t show so much of the monster in the trailer. The first time was especially bad, the second time the best way, if you want to show it at all.
What damage? Its been known for years what a scummy company Nintendo is and people still buy their games and consoles in the millions. The fans will just say that Nintendo is in the right and move on

As long as it is Steam it basically works seamlessly, unless it uses some weird ass DRM like Denuvo. Outside of that it basically depends on the game. Diablo 4 worked well, Anno 1800 or the new Anno 117 Demo did not (Denuvo, I think). Lutris helps witha lot of these but it’s still not sure

Because it is an easy metric and looks good in trailers. Indie games prove again and again, that good games come from good gameplay and not from photo realistic graphics
