It’s … something new. The original game used a game engine evolved from Goldeneye (N64), so while it did a lot of cool things back then, it was very limited in what it could do.

It’s interesting to see the Mirror’s Edge parkour system being implemented. It brings a fresh take on the typical gun and run fps formula.

While everyone here is screeching about jerbs, I would like to point out that using AI voices to voice an AI is an artistic genius in itself.

They released the game early access, so everyone was expecting a perfect game from the start because of how much development went into 1. Honestly, while 2 had issues, the game engine is much better than 1, they just needed to bake it more, like several years more, before releasing it hot off the heels of 1.
