He’s certainly dumb.

JakenVeina, w Factorio: Space Age

But then there is the (hopefully) good news! From now on, we are stopping the embargo on the expansion content, and we will be publishing Friday Facts every week about all the different aspects of the expansion until release!

Goddamnit, so we have to listen to you gush about the expansion for a whole YEAR, without being able to play it?! How is that good news?

At this point, I won’t believe Dreadwolf is coming out until it’s for sale on store shelves.

Pretty impressive actually.

I remember playing that on the Game Boy Advance.

This would be interesting if it utilized my existing Android library.

However, they appear to have learned nothing from Stadia: people are not going to “purchase” games they already own elsewhere on a platform that will disappear in two years.

Afrazzle, w Google Play Games - Play Android games on PC

Is this just a first party alternative to bluestacks?

Pika,
@Pika@sh.itjust.works avatar

No, because at least bluestack’s has decent support. There is only a handful of games actually supported by this, whereas bluestacks supports most games.

I mean technically I guess it’s an alternative… but it is a super crappy one.

somegadgetguy, w Google Play Games - Play Android games on PC

Almost as bad as the connection of titles, the performance is so pretty garbage too. Especially compared to running apps in Windows 11. I made a short when it launched and still get people whining “but he’s complaining about a BETA?!?!”, like Google’s terrible performance is excusable, and we haven’t had better emulation for years now.

BallShapedMan, w Armored Core VI peaks at 150K peak concurrent Steam players on day 1, making it the 4th biggest launch of 2023. It's also the second biggest From Software launch ever, second only to Elden Ring
@BallShapedMan@lemmy.world avatar

And this just in, I suck at it.

buffalo,

Something I’m struggling with: I don’t like it, but I want to.

I’ve only played like 2 hours, and I only bought it bc from software, but it looks soooo cool. I suck at most fromsoft games in the beginning, but the repetition and watching yourself get better as you master the mechanics was what got me.

But I don’t know with this one. I’m not complaining, everyone has their cup of tea. Just can’t decide if I’m going to give up on it or keep trying. I’m very very happy that it’s successful tho!

oxideseven,

Every single Armored Core.

I’ve wanted to like this series and I never really do lol

FordBeeblebrox,

Funny, I’ve been an AC fan my entire life but none of the Souls games have drawn me in. Different strokes I guess

oxideseven,

I despise the souls and souls-like. I just really want a merch game I can get into and I never do get into them. Not since like front mission 3 or xenogears or something.

Kolanaki, (edited )
!deleted6508 avatar

Well… Front Mission and Xenogears, while featuring giant mechs, are RPGs/tactical strategy games and not “mech games.”

“Mech” games are typically what AC is or more of a tank simulator, your tank just has 2 legs and arms.

Necromnomicon,

I am in the same boat as you. I’m so happy a new Armored core game is here

BallShapedMan,
@BallShapedMan@lemmy.world avatar

I’ve found the build of my AC has a lot to do with how successful I am. I’m rocking two shotguns and lasers on each shoulder and right now I’m murdering most things.

If I was able to beat Steel Battalion, I sure as shit can handle this. Even if the boss at the end of chapter 1 is a huge douche nozzle with his god damn wall of missiles and speedy movement for his ridiculous size and god damn shield that sometimes doesn’t even take damage when I chip away at it, or my guns won’t fire despite not being reloaded or overheated…

Talk about a click bait title.

starman2112,
@starman2112@sh.itjust.works avatar

The lawsuit alleged that Roblox was in violation of its own terms of service, which states that “experiences that include simulated gambling, including playing with virtual chips, simulated betting, or exchanging real money, Robux, or in-experience items of value are not allowed.”

According to the lawsuit, Roblox users, most of whom are minors, “first purchase Robux through the Roblox website, using either their own money, a parent’s credit card, or gift cards they possess.”

The minor then “navigates to one of the” three aforementioned sites’ “virtual casinos” that “exist outside the Roblox ecosystem,” according to court papers.

“Then, the user links their Robux wallet on Roblox’s website to the gambling website,” the court documents alleged.

“And finally, once the minor-user’s wallet is linked, the gambling website converts the minor user’s Robux into credit that can only be wagered in their virtual casinos,” according to the lawsuit.

“The gambling credits function just like chips in a brick and mortar casino,” the defendants alleged in court papers.

“Users ‘buy in’ using their Robux, obtain chips, gamble until they lose their money or wish to cash out, and, if they increase their credits, they cash those credits out in exchange for Robux,” the lawsuit alleged.

“This entire exchange of Robux occurs on the Roblox platform with Roblox’s knowledge and active support, and Robux never leave the Roblox ecosystem unless and until they are cashed out for fiat currency,” according to court documents.

Please point out the click bait, I’m not seeing it

conciselyverbose,

The fact that none of the gambling is happening on their site? The fact that saying it's not allowed isn't magic that allows them to instantly identify bad actors?
