How greedy of the man, to checks notes admit to not wanting to make a cash grab and instead leaving the series unfinished because they didn’t think they could do it justice.
As much as I hate being a corporate shill: ask yourself this. Is the game worth the asking price with no DLC? You don’t have to buy every DLC, that’s just the cost of the additional game development time. And maybe the game isn’t worth the price now, but in two years you can probably pick it and a few of the best DLCs up for the same price as it is now and get your money’s worth.
I want to play Bloodborne because quite frankly it looks really cool. I’m told the game is going to be way too difficult for me. I usually play games on standard or easy difficulty. Should I even bother? Is this game even going to be playable to a noob like me?
Souls games are literally just rhythm games. 90% of boss fights are watching for when the enemy commits to moving forward and pressing the roll button, once they stop for a bit, give em a tickle. Repeat until god is dead.
As a long-time Stardew Valley fan, I never thought I’d find a game that could capture my heart quite the same way. Fields of Mistria has done just that. I’m honestly blown away by how good this game is...
Sun haven was a pleasant experience. Rather than automating farming, I just cause earthquakes and rainstorms to plow and water respectively. My only complaint is my thumb hurting from constantly air dashing around.
Ubisoft as a company deserved to fail though. It sure sucks for the poor bastards working there but something tells me the tune would be a lot different if this was just another round of layoffs.
Tedious: too long, slow, or dull; tiresome or monotonous
I think what you were going for was challenging and/or punishing. The first game explicitly has ends to each city type, and I certainly wouldn’t describe watching the city steam a man alive to get the people to tolerate you putting sawdust in their food “dull”
As per title. Most computer games these days are made with such unnecessary padding that I want to murder the devs or myself by the end. See, for example, Hyrule Warriors, the 100% 1000 Hour Nightmare, the Review....
Y’all like Linux? Of course you do, that’s why you’re here! Wendell gives you the scoop on the more powerful half of AMD’s Ryzen 9000 offerings, and makes a strange discovery about gaming on linux.
If my experience is anything to go by, you mug everybody you see, steal everything in their wallet to “identify them”, interrogate them while vomiting drunk in their apartment, and maybe solve a murder or two on accident.
As someone who’s played their fair share of assorted DnD systems, 5E has a number of issues that really hold it back. For instance, you’re not really supposed to long rest between every fight, but how do you tell players that without a proper DM? It’s a very weak mechanic that’s apparently too iconic to have just axed.
Don’t get me wrong, 5E works better at what it’s supposed to - easily accessible and relatively low math tabletop roleplay. But a computer can do so much more.
It’s clearly got more potential than it’s currently using right now, game is fun but will almost certainly be better in 3-6 months. No shame in waiting for a finished product, either.
If there’s one thing to take from this, it’s that the toxicity just needs to be directed at those actually responsible. Not the devs, but at corporate forcing the game to release early.
Theres a lot of talk about benchmarking in the press for CS2 but i’m interested if anyone in this community has purchased the game and what their impressions are for performance and playability....
Game’s been playing fine performance wise on my 3080/5800, my main frustrations have been industry hub buildings not fully building unless you make sure they render when you place them by moving the cursor around randomly. Also industry specializations are ugly as sin.
Besides that, I severely underestimated the effect of wind on air pollution, we’ll see if restarting fixes that. Exporting electricity, at least geothermal, is overpowered. You can export more if you buy tiles out to the map edge, you just connect to the border and make new connections.
Honestly, and this game hasn’t earned much leeway by releasing with the performance issues stated, but I think it’s appealing to a different crowd. Cities skylines was always a bit too goofy, whereas 2 has a bunch of new features that focus on actual city management but those often get overlooked by the lack of charm.
It sounds more like you’d have to load the savegame in 2.0, then load it from 2.1. Theoretically they aren’t changing Nauvis all that much, so I can’t see why it would be unsupported just yet.
Looking for more games like Pokemon TCG for Gameboy or Slay the Spire. Games that are in essence TCG but aren't caught up with simulating the gambling of opening packs.
There are several old yugioh games on different consoles, more modern you’ve got games like Inscryption, Across the Obelisk, Helltrain, and just search the deckbuilder tag on steam.
It seems like nobody’s saying “damn I loved skyrim but hate this”. If you’re into that bethesda rpg “width of an ocean depth of a puddle” stuff it seems pretty alright.
For those who have pre-ordered it is already here, the rest have to wait a little longer. Starfield is finally here! Have you bought it, why or why not? If you’ve already played it, what do you think of it? We are very curious!...
GTA V story mode was an excellent game, but it’s hard to realistically say a game from one genre is better than another, apples and oranges and all that.
GTA V’s online multiplayer, however, at this point is such a shitstain that I think it alone is enough to make the distinction clear.
Expected to arrive at the end of the year, Cities Skylines 2 increasingly shows what is his goal: after some promotional trailers, the game seems to aim for
It’s communist, not socialist, but there is the fantastic Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic game made by slovakians as a criticism of the time under the soviet union.
Colossal Order is Finnish though, so I have reasonable confidence they know socialism != communism. It’s more of an interesting twist that they let you try the orphan-crushing option.
