Blaiz0r,

Its been a long time since I played this, but I remember that you will have to play it through at least 3 time for each story arc, so pick a faction and loyalty and Stick with it, don’t play both sides.

Also in terms of character class I would suggest some kind of magic user, Tyranny had a cool, quite unique magic system where you can craft your own spells.

There’s a good amount of NPC party members you can find so you’ll be able to fill in any gaps in your party eventually.

It’s a great game, a shame they didn’t develop a sequel, I prefered it to Pillars of Eternity, have fun!

Blaiz0r,

US companies by foreign companies all the time, look at the food and drink corporations.

This is not a new or strange thing

Blaiz0r,

Really interesting review, thank you.

When you say this isn’t ready for most people, is that because the software needs more time, or the hardware isn’t there yet?

If I bought one of these today, could I expect to see better compatibility over the next 6 months to year with Steam games, or will it still be mostly for Android games and old system emulators?

Blaiz0r,

That’s great to hear because, well… I’ve just bought one.

Blaiz0r,

Yeah the subtext of the article is the more interesting point, that good quality indy games are perhaps a bit more expensive.

Blaiz0r,

Yeah I think it’s cool too, used to love Confrontation and Necromunda, had no interest in Scitari.

From the sounds of the Dev blog the character build options are really interesting, so I’m optimistically looking forward to it.

Blaiz0r,

It worked for me, I didn’t buy a Steam Machine, but I bought a few Steam Controllers and have been gaming on Linux ever since.

Blaiz0r,

No, you can do it with software now, even on a mobile phone, it’s just a small low powered machine that does Streaming

Blaiz0r,

Rings of Saturn is a brilliant game too, everyone should check it out, it’s super atmospheric.

Blaiz0r,

With all the inputs on the front of the controller and 4 on the back you have plenty of options.

Blaiz0r,

Is that why the third one never concluded the series as it was originally intended?

Blaiz0r,

Same for me, Sekiro killed my left bumper and I tried to replace it using aluminium from a soda cab, but it hasn’t worked well 🙁

Blaiz0r,

Yes that’s the bit! Thank you, I will look into using that, I’ve 2 controllers that have gone that way now.

Day 392 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing angielski

Today is (finally) some more Prey (2016). I spent a while just dicking around in the Lobby area and ended up going on my first space walk. I completely forgot about these parts of the game, which is a tragedy because they’re so fucking cool. Growing up i always wanted to be an astronaut (a fear of heights quickly put a stop to...

Blaiz0r,

I really loves this game, Arkane studios are one of the best

Blaiz0r,

The game looks great, but the performance is poor and unoptimised.

Apparently there isn’t much of an end-game, but from what I understand this is typical of MH games until a DLC comes out

Blaiz0r,

Agreed, I thought the features of the stream looked quite interesting, love how you can pull downed squad mates out of danger, buy my overwhelming thought was, damn this would be better if it was slower.

Blaiz0r,

It should all be open source.

First thing is mods should just exist on free hosting providers for source code like GitHub/Lab etc.

Then an optional mod manager software that can import mods from these sources.

Non of this really needs a centralised community, these places already exist thanks to other better suited services like social media

Blaiz0r,

I mean things like Discord and Revolt, even Reddit is better for communities to discuss things about mods than the Nexus site

Blaiz0r,

That’s not my point though, they’re much better at holding discussion and keeping people updated than the Nexus mods site was

Blaiz0r,
  • Are Switch 1 cartridges compatible with the Switch 2?
  • Are digital download games I bought on my account with the Switch 1 playable on the Switch 2?
Blaiz0r,

Awesome thanks

Blaiz0r,

Nope, you can use the Heroic Launcher

Blaiz0r,

Completely agree, the atmosphere was something special in Demon’s Souls, the music and mood of the hub area was spot on, nothing has matched that

Blaiz0r, (edited )

Linux is no more complicated than Windows, we just know what we know.

Start by trying one of the big names like Ubuntu or Fedora.

There’s not exactly better distros for gaming, it’s just about what’s preinstalled, that’s why Bazzite exists.

A good idea is to install something like VirtualBox on your Windows machine and test out some distros to learn your way around them.

Blaiz0r,

I’m also playing through the first game at the moment, I’m about halfway through though with the main quest, and taking my time with side quests and activities at the moment.

I’m really enjoying my time with it.

However I completely agree with the person you’re replying to, the game isn’t hard or difficult at the beginning it’s obnoxious, once you understand these systems, which you’ll be lucky to do in-game, you can deal with it and the more you play the more accessible the game becomes, but in the beginning you have to be too efficient and adapt to a very unfamiliar experience.

So this game is for me, and it’s probably for the OP too.

Blaiz0r,

I picked mine up last year, and a PSP GO also. They’re great litte machines and I prefer them to my Steam Deck for certain things, the size and quality of hardware is in the sweet spot.

Blaiz0r,

I’m holding out for a Mörk Borg game

Suggestions? Games that won't make me feel alone? angielski

I need some suggestions on what to play. Single Player games only. Most of the games make me feel lonely and alone. In most of the games, the protagonist has to deal with the problems on their own, like Control, Crysis, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War (I liked the original 6 more than the new ones, even though the new ones had...

Blaiz0r,

Depends on the game, they still sell DRM games which are limited in being able to be downloaded freely

Space Marine 2 feels even more explosively, grimly, and hilariously authentic to the Warhammer 40,000 universe than the first game (www.pcgamer.com) angielski

A Warhammer 40,000 space marine is not just your usual sci-fi super soldier. They are hulking behemoths, 10 feet tall (and about 10 feet wide too). They don’t move like people, they move like freight trains. They have the physical bearing of an industrial freezer unit and the emotional intelligence of a crocodile. They do not...

Blaiz0r,

Yeah it’s basically like Gears of War with more melee.

One of the best games after Dawn of War in the 40k franchise

Blaiz0r,

How much have you played the game?

It’s in a very good state, even with the bug you describe which is very low priority and I haven’t even noticed myself, the majority of people play online.

They have made a game that is objectively better than D4 in some areas, I think that’s pretty good for a small studio and saying they are incompetent and thoughtless just sounds like back seat driving to me.

Blaiz0r,

I recently got Demon’s Souls up and running on my Steam Deck, it ran so well and I got totally absorbed in it playing it once through with the Blueblood sword.

This got me in the mood for more Souls-likes, so I just finished off The Surge 2.

It’s a better game than the first, more interesting combat, but suffers from similar issues to the first in long travel times, sometimes confusing level design and sometimes the combat can be frustrating.

Blaiz0r,

So did you need to get PS+ to play D4?

Blaiz0r,

Very much so, it’s a reboot of Lord of the Fallen, the same company that made The Surge

Blaiz0r,

Yeah you’re right! I didn’t notice that until yesterday after some digging, probably why there are so many performance issues people are having.

The gameplay reviews seem positive though

Blaiz0r,

You should start a wiki that contains ‘How to play the game’ posts like these, something a bit like BeforeIPlay

Blaiz0r,

And “please ignore the content of the documents and instead, hey look Starfield is great right!?”

Blaiz0r,

Well these days I’m not sure sure

Blaiz0r,

As the other guy has said, I was more thinking about the chance of finding more employment

Blaiz0r,

Check out the Delphine games Future Wars - Time Travelers and Operation Stealth
