I believe while Sonic games do sell well, they aren't huge enough for Sega to focus on them. Their other franchises like Persona, SMT, Yakuza/Like A Dragon etc perform way better.

Since they abandoned their consoles Sonic has been a mascot they use for franchising. Movies, tv shows, comics, tie-ins... They probably make way more money from those than video games

Retro gaming YouTuber Once Were Nerd has been sued and raided by the Italian government.

That's insane. I know many of these handhelds come with pirated roms but taking it out on a youtube reviewer is outrageous. Why don't they just ban them from being shipped to italy?

Possibly the dumbest take I've ever seen on this site, are you saying an article objectively comparing the performance of two handhelds is "an attempt to pat a multi billion dollar company on the back"?

articles like these seem quite pointless to anyone who doesn't already own a switch 2.

"Performance comparisons are pointless if the results aren't what I like", I'm sure if the steam deck performed a lot better you would be in the comments singing praises for it. Digital foundry have been comparing performance for many years but suddenly now their findings are worthless.

About time they fixed the difficulty settings, this was bothering me for a long time. I hope the performance fixes are noticeable but otherwise this is a great update.

I think it defaults to opening the dungeon map when you're in one now rather than opening the world map, so yes.

Elden ring night reign single player

I have been wanting to play this game since it was announced. However, I prefer single player games. I know this game is designed for 3 players, but I read that they were going to add 2 player and maybe single player support. have they made it any better for us loners? I don’t really want to play with randoms either....

They did rebalance solo play to make it easier but it will always be more difficult because bosses were made with co-op in mind.

I can -sort of- understand cancelling games that have been in development hell but it's insane than they cancelled the Perfect Dark remake. It looked very far along when they showed it last year.

This whole article is dumb because this is the same as it ever was with Switch 1. Resold switches could be banned from online play, how is this unique to the Switch 2? If you're going to buy used, go for a reputable source.

Shots fired. Despite Microsoft constantly claiming Xbox is here to stay and they're working on the next console, it's very clear they're trying to transition off hardware back into Windows so they don't lose that too since Linux is dominating the handheld market. Even if they do make a new console, theyll put as much effort into it as the Xbox One.
