I love that game and it’s the best RTS I’ve played. It seemed to basically rip off the CIV games heavily but simplify them and put them in an RTS context. Everything I loved about Age of Empires as a kid but much better and also spanning the ancient age to the information age....
So I just read this book on history of games called “Blood, Sweat and Pixels” and was fascinated by the chapter on The Witcher 3 and mostly how the team put in so much thought and care in every single side quest. And seems that there are a lot of moral decision to be made on each adventure. So I finally decided to give it a...
I disagree, it made the enemies become tedious damage sponges and currently making the game less enjoyable.
This isn’t a Souls game. Whatever difficulty setting is one/two below the hardest is an acceptable balance between completely wasting my time or challenging fun.
Yeah those animations look like shit. Something that came out of a Steam shovelware UE5 stock asset dump game like one of those countless jumpscare clone games.
It looks so unprofessionally rigid, jank and lazy.
I thought that was the entire point of this game, which is the primary reason I buy games like this and Elden Ring/Dark Souls: I am a fucking grown adult and don’t need to be spoon-fed shit to me in a video game that was built as a sandbox, just shut up and let me break the shit you created in there and if I need to find help, the entire fucking internet already made content about how to solve it before the game was even released
I missed the days of Uncharted and Tomb Raider, those games don’t exist anymore, instead open world “everything games” have taken its place, AssCreed, Horizon, Fallen Order etc....
I bought it on sale and although the game looked really really pretty on my 4k TV, it was a soulless boring overall experience with some very noticeable unnecessary jank.

For multi-mode (full duplex) you would still need a power amp repeater every 500 meters, which requires a lot of power and create noise. You can’t be quiet with noise.
Yes, because there’s no way to transmit power or data anywhere without being loud af in any signal spectrum. It’s physically impossible.
Even with fiber, you need a laser to beam the signal, and a powerful amp on the moon to recieve the signal and boost it with fuck ton of high power repeaters to the other side of the moon which is also loud af
Because of the hope that at some point someone smart will discover an exploit that will allow everyone to install their own homebrew and possibly a completely different OS which will result in a good spec PC with powerful GPU for extremely cheap.
I just heard some of their tracks and I feel like it wasn’t a huge loss not being able to hear a Duran Duran or Depeche Mode wannabe band while I’m murdering hookers in GTA6
It’s almost as if they are a for-profit company that doesn’t want to waste development time on an OS that have significantly fewer players to sell to and will choose to optimize for Linux as an afterthought.
I use Arch, btw and play only on Linux, so I’m not being biased, just speaking truths.
Previously I’ve been pretty gentle with modding that game - things like SkyUI to make it a bit more PC friendly, utility mods like the one limits soul gems to ONLY being filled with their highest tier (no more wasting a grand by filling it with a mudcrab). Also LockPick Pro to effectively skip lockpicking, cuz I hate...
No one bought them before, and since literally nothing has changed since then besides graphics card prices, no one will continue to buy them if they get re-released.
What’s crazy was that they performed better than consoles at the time compared to price, and people still didn’t buy them. So no, you’re wrong people won’t change and it still wouldn’t sell
Because their eye tracking and HDR software are made with proprietary licenses they don’t want to pay to port over from PS5’s flavor of BSD to whatever OS you run on PC.
They probably don’t see any value paying development time and resources for something they won’t ever use and won’t be able to recoup the costs of, when they can better spend it on shit that helps them make money.
He is the Russian equivalent of a baby boomer mandating with the implied threat of death that his own government pay a single shitty local satellite set-top box distributor (let’s be real, it’s likely just cheap chinese hardware) to develop and spread Russian culture through video game media in less than three months (which is probably already developed and was waiting for more money to market and enter production).
Sounds like he is very in touch, because that is one of the ways how U.S. culture is spreading throughout the world currently.
In summary, the writer says the game indeed sucked and it was not caused by racist hate coming from random bloggers, whom by the way they never named. That dev can continue to go fuck itself into bankruptcy.
