#GoodMorning#Bicycle with part of #KidsOnBikes!😂 Don’t let the sun fool you, it was cold. But at least there was no wind so I couldn’t really complain…🥰
#GoodMorning#Gravel! I guess I’m finally getting used to the bad weather. The transition is always painful, but it was surprisingly ok in 2°C and strong wind… #KidsOnBikes - pure love!❤️
@thorcik It’s complicated! Usually, when it’s cold in Poznan it’s also dry and I can live with that. The worst thing is temperatures slightly above 0°C because then it very often gets windy and wet, a combination I truly hate…
Surprisingly, I’ve been recently cycling in rain and it was ok. The clothes really can make the difference…
@ssamulczyk yeah, rain and headwind, my favourite combo.
My only mistake today was leaving my gloves outside when I made a short stop to pop into a shop for a few minutes. @cycling@rower
@rower Tak przy okazji fantazji i rozmachu kierowców: do kilku dni temu myślałem, że na DDR można być z grubsza bezpiecznym i czołówka z autem to abstrakcja...;-) #rower#cargobike#psowerem
🇫🇷 #France, #Corsica, Day 3. Very humid and hot weather has accompanied a proper double digits #MonteePevani#climb. It was hard, as I’m not yet as fit as before, but I did complete it in one go!🙈🤣
@ssamulczyk sorry to point it out but it is not odd to hold a camera up by hand, while cycling, in the era of GoPro or any other helmet- or body- or bicycle-mounted cam? Your solution doesn’t really improve view of the panorama, if that is what you want to share, or of yourself.
@WuMing2 Sure thing. But then I’d have to ride with a shitload of weird mounts and sticks to use it, presumably stop to reconfigure it AND then, post ride - you have to download the video from the action camera with an awkward app to edit it. Not to mention the superior quality of iPhone video over any action camera…
So, I though of it, I do every now and then, but I just never pull the trigger on a GoPro and prefer the flash-bang edits from a phone…🤷🏻♂️
🇫🇷 #France, #Corsica - day 2! A quick coastal ride to the north. Not flat, but also not very hilly. It was surprisingly fast, with almost no wind and it was 20°C at 6am…🥰
@abhayakara Didn’t really think about it, but you’re right… It was slow, though. I was towing a trailer, no way to go fast. It’s really not that bike friendly in the most parts of this city… @cycling@rower
@thorcik Na MTB jedziesz, nie marudź…😅 My na gravelach kilometrami po tłuczniu jechaliśmy na R10, z czego w Pomorskim to było takie gówno, że mnie do teraz stawy bolą…🤣 @rower
#GoodMorning#Gravel! Early start today, as #KidsOnBikes have gone to a field trip!🥰 I’ve decided to avoid #forest, because of the mud. Not that my #bicycle is perfectly clean, but why make things even worse…😂🙈
@thorcik I’m keeping the moving parts in working order. My frame probably has some extra weight because of the mud on the down tube, but that doesn’t really bother me that much.
With 3 kids and a full time job I have no time for a proper maintenance…😂
I sometimes put it in a tub and give it a good rinse, but then my wife gets mad and I have to polish the acrylic bathtub from gunk, which is a proper drag…😂
@ssamulczyk@cycling@rower Fact is humans should not live that far north as we do 🫣 Even with climate changes clearly visible now it is still cold as hell / too cold / not pleasant from October till early June! That is 8 months of cold + 4 months "okay-ish if not for the rain". And usually only 4-6 weeks out of that 4 months are properly "warm". I mean I ride bike all winter and have no problems with snowy -5C in Jan. But +5C every morning at mid May? Planet Earth comme on 🙆♂️😁
@ati1 Yeah... And a few couples of days ago it's been +27... I've been cycling whole year for years, but the last winter has broken me. It has been exceptionally cold and humid and it should have been cold but dry... @cycling@rower
