Erroneous bans, they intend to reverse them once AMD implements a fix:
AMD's latest driver has made their "Anti-Lag/+" feature available for CS2, which is implemented by detouring engine dll functions.
If you are an AMD customer and play CS2, DO NOT ENABLE ANTI-LAG/+; any tampering with CS code will result in a VAC ban.
Once AMD ships an update we can do the work of identifying affected users and reversing their ban. @AMD
The Anti-Lag software from AMD seems to get flagged as some sort of cheating from the Anti Cheat software by Valve, as it tempers the Counter Strike code. In other words, its not compatible. AMD should have tested and worked together with Valve, before shipping the update. It's not to blame Valve, because the Anti Cheat software works as intended, but AMD, because they did not work with Valve before launching their software.
Anti-lag has been in the amd drivers for a long time. This seems more to be caused by Valve rushing CS2 out the door so the drivers couldn't be thoroughly tested.
It's sort of sad that Mac players won't be able to experience CS2, I have a friend who refuses to get a PC and only have a Mac and I'd love to try them out on CS2.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but maybe they shouldn't release even more content. That game is jam packed already!
You think you're done and then BAM! you're running a fish farm and an actual farm, then BAM! you're running errands for a mermaid kingdom, BAM! you're doing a whole side quest under the ice sheet, BAM! you're opening branches of the sushi restaurant... etc, etc, etc...
I love to see a game with tons of a content but I fear they may have overdone it a bit.
I get they're just shopping it right now, but we are seriously getting like Japan and anime with these fucking streaming live action shows. If you've got an IP that seems like it has a pulse go for it. I don't dislike the game, but the writing doesn't justify it.
Edit: Not to say that I think relying on proven showrunners and creators as a system is any better, mind you. I don't really have a solution to how these multimillion dollar productions should be put together, it just seems really vapid.
This could either be really good or horrifically awful. However unlike The Witcher show, I feel like it has better chances. Source material doesn't matter too much in that V's story can be pretty dynamic with how its told and The Witcher has a very linear story line and strongly solidified characters.
Adapting existing stories and changing them has to be done really well for people to appreciate it and The Witcher just didn't have this going for it. 2077 on the other hand has so many places it could go, characters that we've yet to meet. I mean really they have all the options as long as the dialogue and delivery is done well.
Tbh is the ending of this one is as uninspired as the original game, I won't be picking it up.
Game is fairly fun, gets repetitive by the end, but I'm kinda tired of games that just end unceremoniously. Looking at you too, stray.
This article isn’t entirely accurate. Trials will still require playing with other characters, and the three 24-person Crystal Tower raids that are a requirement for progressing the story also must be played with other people.
Take it slow at a lower level dungeon to get the feel for things. Sastasha and Tam Tara are great ones to start on. Go in with duty support NPCs if you are nervous about performing with others. In my experience, if you preface the instance with “hi bear with me, I’m new to tanking”, people are very forgiving and will even give pointers :)
Article only mentions dungeons. Did they add it for story trials too? As far as I know that's only available for early 4-player trials and a couple of very recent additions. The Chrysalis, Steps of Faith, etc can still wipe a group of human players easily if their mechanics are ignored.
