Christ Almighty, they used to have to give the first hour of a completed game to us for free, now people are paying to betatest the most dogshit asset flips. How did we get here?
This game was originally going to release two years ago without Microsoft making sure it got more QA than Bethesda is known for. Microsoft or not, the game design and feature completeness likely wouldn't have moved an inch.
Hi-Fi Rush, for a counter example, was one of the best games of the year.
I would disagree with your 50 hour Starfield assessment, only on the basis of Todd Howards own comment that the game was made to be played for a long time.
50 hours for a game meant to be played for a long time just isn't very long at all. Heck, I enjoyed my time in Starfield and I had more than 50 hours. However I could not continue with NG+, it was just godawful.
For a game meant to be played extensively it failed in most regards.
The homeowner fantasy isn’t about buying houses and slapping expensive shit on the walls, only to turn around and sell it for more money, increasing your neighbour’s property taxes in the process. This is a reason WHY people can’t afford to be homeowners.
Right? Not only can you download from any place on the web and install directly, there are also established third party shops like from Samsung and Amazon or even better, F-droid for Open Source stuff.
Maybe its classified as controlling the market, because most people don't know about alternatives and therefore Google is a monopoly. Even if there are alternatives, Google is currently in a position to control almost all Android smartphones. Similar to why Windows was classified as a monopoly, even though we had Linux for ages as an alternative operating system. So this paragraph is just a guess by me.
I’m guessing players will prefer flying over the mountains over climbing after the trailer unless Hello Games adds some interesting mechanics to climb.
Reminds me of Satisfactory’s version: the spiders are replaced with gigantic, holographic, slightly-glitchy cat heads. It’s incredibly more scary, tbh. The cat head is the size of a large dog, lol. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcAbYczBgsU
The logo bothers me with the number behind GTA, most other games it was GTA with the name over or next to the words. The only thing I am upset about is that it's coming in 2025, I was hoping for the back half of 2024. Of course, this is also GTA, I think the first trailer for GTA V was in 2010 and the game finally launched for the first time in 2013. So we may not be playing this until 2026.
