As someone that has played a few “Netflix” games, I appreciate the Solitaire they offer. It has no advertising, no microtransactions, multiplayer, and the occasional new skin. The Daily challenges are also set up in a user friendly fashion where it doesn’t mandate the player to play it on an exact day.
I’m sure it will turn to shit one day but in the meantime it is good.
I'm not surprised they feel like that, they have a lot in common with the gaming space in terms of fucking up franchises due to unrealistic expectations
Glad they're taking a break, and hope things work out for them. Making games is tough, and making games like this which are more on the niche side can't have been easy, especially since the profits probably weren't stellar either.
And that re-release was a port of the android version (that was also a re-release)
A re-release does not always means a graphical upgrade, it just means release the game on new systems or stores
If you had the original 2004 release installed on PC it would not receive an update patch in 2014. They just released it in new platforms (Steam) and since they were releasing the game again they had to change it because they music rights were not negotiated for that release
I almost never preorder games anymore, but I make an exception for Bethesda Games. I managed to snag a Constellation Edition on Gamestop after the direct, but the order has been fucked up and I haven't been able to see the status for weeks. I had to call like 8 times to get the issue escalated so I could make sure I would get it and just got confirmation that my order was fixed today 😭
I was kinda hoping the enoughmuskspam community would be focused on talking about innovative tech/engineering work happening at other companies. I guess that’s more the point of “futurology”, but still…
His companies are fine. (minus Twitter) SpaceX and Tesla are great he just needs to keep his fucking mouth shut and do his job. The man is cringe and is taking his billionaire status too hard.
Corporate interests pay politicians and judges who make and pass laws. This guy stole a game and gets a felony, but did anything happen to those who cause financial crisis or housing crisis? They usually get bonuses
I was thinking the exact same thing. That is wild. It really shows you how much power corpos have. They literally destroy the environment in so many different ways and get told: pay these fees and you’re good. Business continues as usual.
But this dude? God forbid he leaked and sold a corporate product. Nothing less than a felony is clearly warranted.
I have a former best friend who still somehow finds a way to fanboy over Musk, despite the excessive information about him and actions he's taken. All very public and easy to find information, yet never swayed the guy's opinion and the last time we talked about it he was still fanboying. It really should have been a warning sign of things to come with that friendship. Truly, only mentally and emotionally inept losers are still on Musk's side and the former friend's the only person I know who still has a favorable opinion of Musk.
Tough luck man. Have been in this situation a couple times.
Current working theory is that the reason are our relationship templates formed in childhood.
If someone has had abusive and/or gaslighting role models early on, they will not avert or even seek narcissistic relationships. I have been in this situation for a long time and am working for years to get rid of it.
This is what I think happens with people liking clear cut narcissists like musk and having friends who „somehow“ like him.
Sometimes people flock to a figure because they see them as a struggling underdog challenging the whole world.
But even that angle kinda falls apart when you remember that this guy is the wealthiest person in the world. He's not a brave rebel. He's not even taking a stance on something important, though he very well could, with his money.
