I just played through it this year for the first time as well (gave up a few hours in on the original release). Really is an awesome game with such a surprisingly great intro.
I still need to play it, been meaning to go a playthrough on my Steam Deck but every time I hear about Prey someone is always saying it’s a great game.
Tried it, game was too hard for me. I think it’s the kind of game that rewards you for investing a lot in it, which isn’t for me. It also didn’t really hold my hand enough. I play only a few games a year and I don’t have time to live in a games world and figure it out.
I’m just amazed that prey 2006 is still hilariously cheap on those gray Market sites, cuz that’s the only way to get it now
One day I’ll give the game with the same name an actual shot, because I’m sure it’s good on its own merits, but it will always be a reminder that Prey 2. The REAL Prey 2 was stolen from us
Finally got around to playing it a couple years ago. Fantastic game. Intriguing story and satisfying game play that’s just unique enough to stand apart. I really really enjoyed it.
It’s the not-quite-top-end release of a 7-year-old architecture - of course people are going to move on from it even with the current pricing environment. It doesn’t help that the 2060 was roughly equivalent in raster performance at its launch even in games programmed with the older architecture in mind.
Yeah, you’re most likely right. I just never got anything more powerful since 2017 because it’s been more than enough for the games I play even today, and the games that won’t run well on my old trusty… well, they just seem to require a jokingly expensive investment on their lazy and sub-par programming work anyway, so I’m still giving it a pass. Not to mention that ray tracing still hasn’t gotten me to care enough to build anything that can run that even on 1080p at 60 FPS.
Same. I was actually relieved to beat the first boss thinking it was the end but i was sent to another planet or something. Played a few minutes and it’s the same gameplay. I quit the game and deleted it.
I can’t stand how people have no in between anymore. If a game isn’t a 10/10 it’s “dogshit” I’ve seen perfectly fine games with a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 being called “shit”, like come on now.
I usually don’t like nerrative driven games and skip a lot of cut scenes in games, but I really enjoyed this one! Great story really funny and fun gameplay.
The fighting was pretty easy I agree and as much as live dark souls, nit every game needs to have. This kind of challenge
I’ve been wondering what’s going on over there. Ghost Town Games have been radio silent about Overcooked for quite a bit now. I hope the issues are just limited to their publisher
