The ripoff artist made $42,0000.00. Apple made $18,000.00.
The original creator made ~$2,000.00, after TikTok comments pointed people to the original.
And
“Apple encourages the parties to a dispute to work directly with one another to resolve the claim.”
Apple facilitated theft, and owes this developer $60,000.00 if they lose in court. But they know they don’t have to lose in court, because they can spend $6,000,000.00 or more on lawyers, forever, to set a precedent to discourage others from suing.
Arianespace hasn’t publicly disclosed the cost for an Ariane 6 launch, although it’s likely somewhere in the range of 80 million to 100 million euros, about 40 percent lower than the cost of an Ariane 5. This is about 50 percent more than SpaceX’s list price for a dedicated Falcon 9 launch.
With more launch, the price per rocket should decrease, but making it cost competitive will be an important mission if EU wants to launch hundreds of satellites in the future.
With more launch, the price per rocket should decrease
Should it? Are you referring to amortizing the costs of development, or optimizing the production cost of each rocket? No portion of Ariane 6 is reusable, so it’s not like they can get more launches out of each rocket…
Are you referring to amortizing the costs of development
Yes, I was thinking more amortizing the costs of development which will definitely get cheaper the more launch happening, but I guess it’s also possible for optimization of production, although I’m not expecting much from that.
lol fat chance Microsoft is capable of launching a new hardware line and having the competency and staying power to be sucessful in 2025, maybe 5 years ago, but not today.
Apart from the bait title it’s a reasonable article. If they’d have called it “Six things Microsoft need to do for their portable Xbox to compete with the Steam Deck” it could have had exactly the same content.
Steam Deck already does 1, 2 and 3.
Now pair it with constant nags (Enhance your experience by signing into a Microsoft account, Subscribe to Gamepass! Have you tried Copilot???), and Microsoft’s inability to ever add anything new to their controllers (bye bye Gyro and Touchpads) and you’ve lost me.
I’m OOTL on the news around this device, but if the joysticks that they install in the thing are just as shitty as the joysticks that they put in current Xbox controllers then there’s no chance I’d even consider buying one
