I still think $70 is too much for a release of a remake or any new game for that matter. Tho I only pic games up. Now adays on sale anyways. But it’s still the principle of the thing.
I’d be okay with $70 for this if FeMC was included, as that would mean a lot of branched content. They’ve said there will be (and shown) added content to make up for it, but that could shake out to being an extra two hours in the end.
I’m glad the UI and battle transitions look slick, though, if only to put the fan narrative that no one’s making quality turn-based JRPGs to rest.
Hm, I thought it was more similar to FortressCraft Evolved, or even old Minecraft Tekkit. When I played the beta a few years ago it was roughly half of those games and nothing to really differentiate it from the rest. It’ll be interesting to see the current state, and I am hoping they found some unique twist.
It looks like it could sit between satisfactory and Minecraft because there is a hole there. Satisfactory is extremely polished and the gameplay is pretty rock solid, but that comes with limitations like having a static game map.
Making this more like Minecraft means that the gameplay may not be as crystal clear but that you can be free to explore outwards.
But, they really need to break from the obvious satisfactory links
Yeah first thing that came to mind to me too. I’m hesitant whether or not they can pull of something already so successful. Anything with faster update phases would be good for the factory genre though.
I stopped playing dota after thousands of hours because I got fed up with the community. I only have a certain amount of time I can game now and it’s frustrating to waste that little bit of time with super toxic and raging teammates. Does it happen in every game? No but it happened enough that I don’t want to risk it.
It looks like they finally are working to fix that, however I transitioned over to a new game - Path of Exile. It’s great, the only person I can blame for mistakes now is myself 😀.
As someone who doesn’t follow vtubers, I can confirm Holocure is excellent, and obviously made with love. Every character has a unique playstyle, and the aesthetc is a nice departure from the gloom common to the genre.
I played a bit of it and what I got was completely different to what I saw kronii playing. She had what looked like a fishing and farming Sim while I had reverse bullet hell. Runs great on the steam deck though.
The ending had me rolling. I didn’t realize what was going on until just right before the reveal. Great game to check out because you can beat it in a couple hours
It would still be a fun little puzzler, but it’s very much a single-note satire, and a lot of it would come off as “lol random” rather than taking the piss out of The Witness. Which is also brilliant, love them both.
My favourite OpenTTD gameplay video is the Valefisk video where he invites his Patreon supporters to play a game with him and his friends and then ruins their day by basically starting the server early so that his corp already has more money than the other players.
If you find yourself enjoying openTTD, I’d highly recommend trying the JGR patch pack. Link It adds loads of improvements that the steam version doesn’t have. I started on the steam version, loved it, and love the JGR version even more.
respectfully, what is this? it’s just a subject. what discussion are you having about NPCs? are they good, bad, unnecessary bloat? improving with the pace of AI? the best 10 NPCs of all time? NPCs based on real characters? I don’t really want to risk a click until I know what I’m fully getting myself into.
I loved Alien Swarm, although it’s like just one episode from a big game. It’s disheartening it’s still like that. This game has a potential, especially for coop gaming. Just no content to flesh it out.
I remember playing the shit out of Alien Swarm back when it came out over a decade ago. It showed a ton of promise. It’s a shame they haven’t really fleshed it out since then.
Alien Shooter and Zombie Shooter series are direct inspirations to this Valve’s experiment. Idk if they are good on your platform or if they are meant to play together with others, but I liked some of these older entries playing solo. Maybe you’d like them too.
