I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 a ton over the past two years and honestly I’m really glad I’ve spent so much time in the setting, it’s so not traditional fantasy and it’s richer for it. I wish that more fantasy played with the expectations of the genre. Tolkien-esque fantasy is a great jumping off point but I wish authors/creators did more with it than just start and stop there
Yeah I agree, especially bc it’s on steam now and the steam deck puts a premium on games with controller support. But even on PC sometimes I feel like I’m short on buttons, but there’s probably some way to play comfortably on a controller and anet really aught to invest in it
With action cam it’s definitely playable with a controller but I doubt they’ll put in controller support because like… there’s a billion different bindings and everyone rebinds everything in their own so there’s not much point? Browse community bindings and find one that works for you/your character(s).
Yesss I’ve been playing since Guild Wars 1, I was there when the last day dawned on the kingdom of Ascalon, and I looove how they’ve evolved the setting over the decades! I’ve run D&D games set in it, and it’s a great great time
I’m ambivalent on it, but definitely not negative. I hate that everyone watching big game shows is hoping to see “Ratchet & Kratos 7” or “Dark Lore 5” or “Metal Gear Sonic 11”. Especially since, as you know, every decent mid level game developer these days has been fired at least once by morons with MBAs, and so the industry must make new IPs from the scattered devs.
Its art doesn’t speak for itself, I think on multiplayer it usually doesn’t. We’ll have to see how it feels later.
I saw it had robots and shit and noped out of even thinking about buying it.
I can’t keep up with what the current cod game is, they’re wannabee super hero babes games which bear zero resemblance to the original games. It’s a characature at this point.
I just think the game looks and plays bad. I’m clearly not the target demographic, but the older COD games I grew up with are a completely different tone/style/game to the modern arcade shooters.
I said I noped out of it, not that everyone should.
Here lies the problem: A lot of FPS players literally only want ONE fucking tone for EVERY FPS, which is like. Serious-looking milsim appearance that takes place in the present day. That’s it. They’ll literally attack any futuristic game as “it’s a mobile game” and “not realistic”, as if that should be the only thing that dictates if an FPS is good or not. I for one am tired of it, especially considering most of the people who are extremely anal about that are either chuds or fascists who want to roleplay as a super soldier fighting for the good ol’ US of A. So when people constantly talk about how “ah this thing has robots I don’t want to play it” it immediately triggers that suspicion in me.
Not to mention, this whole obsession with “realism” to me is absolutely stupid. I don’t need to see literally every pore on an old man’s face for my game to feel good. Hell, you have games like Hades II, Silksong, MOTHER 3, and a fuckton of other games that are just extremely good that none of those people try because they’re not realistic.
A lot of very confused people here who think an earnings delay means ubi havent made much money. Cant say if they have or not, but if they havent thats still not a reason for this kind of delay
They haven’t been doing too well recently. The trade halt is because they’re afraid that everybody would read the halting of the report as admission they’re barely afloat and start dumping shares, killing the company.
Which is what leads me to believe that they caught an error in the report and needed to re-print it. Halting it now wouldn’t change anything financially.
I remember being the first one to make a guide for the game “Bust A Move” (Rhythm dance game). I think it’s still there. My own little contribution to the gaming world.
Yes and no. In the US, it was released as “Bust A Groove”. The original Japanese release (first release) was “Bust A Move”. That’s the game I first played and based the FAQ off of.
