Well at least they could make a game that expands on the story, since the story is based on the IP, even if they couldn’t use things specifically from the previous game or call it a sequel.
I want to see how the M1 version fairs on my tiny laptop. Obviously it won’t be as good as my gaming machine, but finally: a Metal title I’m interested in that can push the hardware!
I’ll give this a try. I don’t want to quit the game because it’s so fun but I get a crash every 15 minutes or so. I’m only in the underdark and I already have almost 450 quicksaves!
Bethesda games are full of bugs, ill wait a year or so before i decide to buy it or not. Dont get me wrong, FO4 is still my favourite game of all time, so im sure ill like it. I bought FO76 at half price and i still feel ripped off, so I will wait and see how they screw up starfield.
Since all the games of that era now have laughably out-of-date tech, the fact that Daikatana did at the time doesn’t stand out so much. Played through it again a couple of years ago; it’s more janky-but-interesting than the disaster that you’d believe from its reputation - has some good bits in amongst the mostly-okay.
The Gameboy Color version of Daikatana, which is a top-down JRPG instead? That is genuinely a good fun game. Think JR has it for free download on his home page? Easy to get, anyway.
I would take this with a grain of salt just because Matsuno doesn’t work at square enix, you would hope he would be involved in a remaster or at least know it was happening, but that’s not always how these things play out
If you’re developing a remaster of a game while you have the director of the original game on the payroll, that’s not a breakdown in communication. That’s intentionally keeping him out of the loop.
Trust me, I’d love it if you were right on this, but as far as I’m concerned, this means the leak wasn’t accurate in this case or the project got axed.
