No mention of the multiple award winning Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? This list is a farce!

The Doom movie was the best TV show based on a video game.

Before getting all mad about bad articles, this is probably more a case of vanillaware not being able to afford to port right now and wanting to focus on what they know. It’ll likely come later

Before getting all mad about bad articles

That’s an interview, and none of their games came before, this is just the nail in the coffin for the optimists.

Tell me you didn’t read the article without telling me you didn’t read the article.

As a publisher, we would like to deliver it to PC users as well, but per our agreement with Vanillaware, we are only releasing on console. In other words, there are no plans to port it to PC currently.

That’s from the game’s producer at Atlus. If the publisher wanted to get a PC port, they would have found the money to do it (or found a third-party to manage the port if Vanillaware wasn’t willing/able). Per the quote, Vanillaware themselves do not want it on PC - nothing about not being able to afford to port it or anything like that. This tracks with how they’ve never released a single game on Windows aside from an MMO they made for Square Enix almost 20 years ago, before they were even known as Vanillaware.

Vanillaware just doesn’t have any interest in PC, and while that’s quite frustrating, it’s their prerogative.

norske, do games w Cities: Skylines 2 DLC delayed so studio can focus on PC fixes

It’s running pretty decent now since that lastest couple patches. But I haven’t pushed a city up past 60k population yet. I’m still a bit sore they didn’t implement bicycles. Should have been baked in at launch.

What fixes are left to implement? Have they said what areas are being worked on

See the steam news feed here: store.steampowered.com/news/app/949230

The CO Word of the Week has high level info, while the patch notes show what they have done.

It looks like they have hit the low hanging fruit and are now spending time on getting the more difficult (but impactful) engine stuff fixed

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

That’s probably all quite techy stuff though, so I imagine that the designers and artists etc are still going to be working on new stuff

Knusper,

Yeah, probably. It’s kind of an easy genre to keep the artists busy, as you can just add more varieties of buildings and such.

After reading those two posts I kind of want the asset packs more than the proformance fixes. The game feels so barron at the moment.

Sure, the backlog wasn't big enough. Throwing a few more games on there can't hurt.

Baldur's Gate 3 highlighted my RPG backlog, so this will be a good time to pick up Pillars of Eternity ahead of Avowed. Plus I still need to pick up Starfield and Cocoon, so I may as well get them at a slight discount.

skullgiver, do gaming w Cyberpunk 2077 dev warns players to check their PCs' cooling ahead of 2.0 update
@skullgiver@popplesburger.hilciferous.nl avatar

No they didn’t.

Before release CP2077 2.0 and PL please check conditions of your cooling systems in PC. We use all what you have, so workload on CPU 90% on 8 core is expected. To save your time please run Cinebench or similar and check stability of your systems

In other words: CPU load will increase, overclockers with unstable clocks will be more likely so see crashes.

No need to check your cooling, CPUs will be plenty stable unless you messed with your clock speed without significant stability testing.

I don’t see any issue having individual post for each review (article).

This is big gaming news, so it makes sense to have more posts.

We're going to have a lot of these, we should probably setup a review megathread or something? Does this magazine even have mods btw? :D
