Some of my friends and I in a D&D campaign managed to talk our way out of so many encounters, and heist our way through so many quests, that we started calling ourselves Ocean’s Five. It was some of the most fun I’ve had in that game, improving our way through heists and getting away with it.
I got back into Shapez 2 recently and getting the factory flowing has been really fun. I like that you don’t have to try and figure out how to cram everything into a tiny space, you can take as much room as you like to make well-designed factories.
(I have absolutely no idea how to even start to build a Make Anything Machine though)
I read that they will do a new game mode where you dont have to remove everything you built in the beginning. Looking forward to that before I play it again. Only played back when the first release was but looking forward to the new mode as that was something that bothered me.
RoboCop Rogue City here. Picked it up on sale and have really been enjoying it. They did a great job of capturing the atmosphere of in universe Detroit, and made it feel like you are playing RoboCop. No diving behind cover, no massive arsenal, not even a crouch. The story line is solid, and the gameplay moves along nicely, which unlocks, skill upgrades, etc scattered throughout. 9/10
I’m excited to hear that! I also picked it up on the sale because it was outrageously cheap, but it’s not near the top of my backlog pile. Should probably rewatch the movies first too, whenever it gets time to play it.
This game took mediocre gameplay on rails, and through a great storyline and acting, created something outstanding. I wish I could play it for the first time again. The sequel doesn’t even come close, IMHO.
I’m a sucker for the Game play, but i can definitely see how it can be considered mediocre. You are right though, the story line and acting are really were the game shines
It is the remake! It does look really good. I haven’t played the PS3 original but judging but Naughty Dog’s similar output for the time i wouldn’t at all be surprised if it look stellar too
Yeah, I’ll check with my friends who have already played it before I decide anything. If I went for the sequel first, will just watch a recap or let’s play of the first game on YT for a reminder.
That’s definitely for sure. I went back through a little bit in New Game+ today and just dicked around with some of the cheats like Explosive Arrows and once you take the stealth option out, by far, the gameplay time goes down. Still love the game though, not a flaw, just an observation
I’m gonna throw the rythm game Osu! into the ring. The lazer client works natively on linux and is available in the AUR. (The -bin version is required for score submission).
Doom WADs for a huge back catalog, elder scrolls mods for Bethesda tools and a pretty big player base, Unity/UE for more professional game designer tools, mega man maker for something quick and simple and fun to jump into
Pong, it was the first Videogame ever, also Pacman and Space Invaders as the base of almost all other games (Shooter, RPG, Racing games, Flight simulators, etc). Tetrix, the Snake game, inspiration of the Tron movie. These certainly belongs in a Museum of gaming history…
