crapwittyname,

I’ve had this song stuck in my head on and off for at least a decade.

Ensign_Crab,

Every time I have to move stuff around in the fridge to get something bulky to fit, I am the man who arranges the blocks.

crapwittyname,

Great. Now you’ve cursed me with this too. That’s twice the amount of time I’ll be humming this bitch.

Ok, real talk, this is how bad it is. Once I changed the words to “maybe we’d be better off, if we ate beef stroganoff”. That day I learned to cook stroganoff for the lulz and my girlfriend is now addicted and I have to cook it twice a month.

Lol meanwhile I have to email support to get into discord because their emails never come in.

Wait, why? Mine stays logged in. It’s been logged in for years straight. What causes it to log out all the time for other people?

The_Picard_Maneuver,
@The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world avatar

Do you use it a lot? Or does it auto-run on startup?

I might open the app maybe once or twice a month, and it frequently asks for credentials.

Tarquinn2049,

Ah, it does auto log-in at start up, so I guess that. Otherwise, it does just sit there passively. It probably ties up a couple megs of ram or something. Sounds worth it if the alternative is that annoying.

Lileath,

I am on Linux so I use Heroic which opens it in an intternal browser I think, but I’ve never had problems with staying logged in.

I tried to go evil in Baldur’s Gate 3 several times now. Not a chance.

moakley,

My favorite part about my Dark Urge playthrough is that they often phrase the option as something like, “think about hurting the cat,” and that cat was just a dick to me so while I’d never actually hurt the cat, I can certainly think- oops, I just fucking tortured and murdered that cat.

I thought the durge was a representation of intrusive thoughts winning every fight.

I immediately recognized that scene, it’s the mushroom trip! I loved all the trippy scenes in this game. Far Cry 3 OST was the first game soundtrack I put on my phone to listen to outside of the game, too (leaving the PlayStation on to blast Crash Bandicoot 2 Sewer or Later level music on the TV on max volume doesn’t count lol).

Back then the Ubisoft formula was still fresh and games made with it were actually a ton of fun.

MyNameIsAtticus,
@MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.world avatar

The OST is amazing. I did this mission where you use the Flamethrower to burn some drug fields and the song they used for it is catchy as fuck

I’m disappointed the option isn’t harsh enough because sometimes you need to tell people to fuck off. Or it’s no (yes) situation.

Q: So, using Heroic I could launch Epic games without installing their launcher?

PerfectDark,
@PerfectDark@lemmy.world avatar

Yes! That’s exactly how Heroic works!

Check their website if you want to look at the FAQ, its extensive in what it covers there!

But, it definitely bypasses the need for Epic’s launcher. As with Amazon Games titles, and GOG as well! An all-in-one :)

SharkAttak,
@SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org avatar

That's good! (although I shouldn't really try to make my backlog longer than it already is) I asked caused the FAQ wasn't very clear about it.

Faxanadu, or Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest.

HiroProtagonist,

Much earlier. check my edit for description.

HiroProtagonist,

Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest Not those games but it was an 80’s game. I edited my question for description.

Xenon 2?

Redfox8,

Megablast!

HiroProtagonist,

Not Megablast. I edited the question to describe the game.

HiroProtagonist,

No but > Xenon 2 kind of reminds me of Galaga.

Redfox8,

I don’t know Gaaga, Xenon & Xenon 2, Megablast was my Atari ST era. I remember the soundtrack/music being very good for that time.

HiroProtagonist,

Galaga, it was kind of a fancy Space Invaders.

VerilyFemme, do games w Favourite 90s platformer?

Super Mario Bros 3. It barely makes the cutoff, releasing jn 1990 in North America. But man, it is something special. I completely understand why people prefer Mario World, but Mario 3 feels like the peak of the 2d franchise for me, and everything after that is just reiterating what it perfected.

Sonic 2 and Crash Bandicoot 3 are up there, too. The first time I played Crash especially, my mind was blown. There are several games that scratch the same itch as Mario and Sonic, but I’ve not found a single game that feels like Crash Bandicoot. Gamers were spoiled in the 90s. …unless you bought from a company that wasn’t Nintendo or Sony.
