Been running this insane build melting the entire screen. Very soon I’ll be target farming mythic uniques. Absolutely loving the new Spirit Born class!
I got stuck on a tough boss for a while, so I replayed some earlier levels to level up my character. We’re back in business. It didn’t even feel like a grind since each area/battle is short and gameplay feels great. Maybe 15 minutes to get the 2 level ups I needed. I’m enjoying the steady increase in difficulty and how new enemies are introduced. The game does a good job of making you assess the situation and use the techniques available to overcome it. There’s even some fire/environmental hazards that can be used to your advantage.
Fae Tactics
Also got stuck on a (boss?) fight, so I took some time to rearrange my party and spells to get some better elemental synergy and buffs and it worked! Definitely feels rewarding and, well, tactful.
Thing that cured me of my destiny 2 fomo was to get the transmog system to make my character look like a year 1 day 1 player (the broken armor you get when Ghaul takes your light) and then that’s my “look” I’m the guy who looks like they’ve never change their armor. Then I picked one ship and one emblem I liked (Xûr’s rock ship, and Strange Coin emblem) and that’s it. no more MTX.
I bought that game day one, actually played like the first 4 missions, thought to myself “Wow, this is going to be incredible! I should wait until I have a loong weekend, hehe~”, and then never touched it again.
I am glacially making my way through the first 4 now, though.
I feel this. In some ways it was a relief discovering that I didn’t need to keep up with gaming anymore. I would just play what I want want to play, when. But unfortunately I’ve missed (or even forgotten) about a lot of games I really wanted to play.
