This is the entire problem with modern gaming meta though. There basically is an assumption that people will look up the walkthrough, so you need to scale difficulty with that in mind.

I am like you, and this is a big part of why I’ve almost entirely stopped gaming. Either the game is too hard, or it has like 20 minutes of cir scenes per hour, or it requires an hour of supply grinding any time you pick it back up.

As soon as devs start listening to the community for balance issues, there’s a countdown timer to the game going downhill. Users are idiots, and they can’t actually ever agree on anything either way. Letting a vocal minority guide development is always a terrible idea and has never worked in the history of game dev.

I wil say that the gen 1 slides were clumsy and early units could be broken by forcing them in backwards. It always felt like the part which was the least well designed. I like the new magnetic interface but I agree it's kind of an odd thing to have a minor quality of life update be the top line.

Fully differentiable rendering is a thing. You input a list of polygons and the AI renders it directly.

In fact, the "cinematic" shit was the worst part of it IMO. There were gameplay segments where it got very tedious.

This is honestly the biggest disappointment in the third game and is due to the console focus. The second game has much deeper combat because kb&m really opens up ability to get creative with complex magic, potion and swordplay combos.

But also, don't be afraid to just read this stuff online. The game is so big it gets tedious if you don't have a huge amount of time to devote to it. That can really kill motivation to keep going.
